A Central Incisor inclusion does not happen every day..! After taking a cone-beam, the problem becomes clear. We must bring that tooth down using a palatal expander and some braces as soon as possible to give Jane a beautiful smile to grow up with!

@@jamesjones3341 google extreme inbreeding in the UK, you'll see the numbers. Also pathetic healthcare called nhs, the worst healthcare I experienced in 5 countries during my 2year delegation stay. High salaries attracting low skilled and clueless losers to work in the UK from all around the world. Most migrant dentists on there were not good enough to succeed at home hence why they moved to UK. British dentists? Just look at british people teeth.... this book is judged by its cover. I've had 3 small repairs done for £120 each by 3 different UK dentists, and all 3 had to be replaced within 6months. One brazenly charged me an extra £55 as "emergency" appointment and I still had to wait 3 days to be seen🤣🤣🤣. Pathetic. I have had composite fillings done in my country 32 years ago and there is absolutely nothing wrong them. British still repair teeth with Amalgam for £60 and charge £50 to extract 🤣🤣🤣🤣 A composite filling is charged €30-40 all around the Europe as walk in and be served. This isnt really a medicine that requires sterile environment , its just a craft in drilling and resin filling. Dentistry in Europe is treated as services, its open till 22:00 all week saturdays and sundays incl. or 24/7. While in the UK dentists are for unemployed people only, open 9:00-17:00. Rarely Eastern European dentists will be open Sat morning and one or two working on Sunday.

It takes courage to share a case that perfectly demonstrates what not to do, and we as dentists learn far more from such cases than cases that go perfectly, so many thanks for sharing! The soft tissue is not inflamed because of poor OH. It is inflamed because it is mucosa, not gingiva, around the neck of the tooth, and it is mucosa around the neck of the tooth, not gingiva, because you made an incision in mucosa instead of uncovering the tooth with an apically positioned flap

Will it resolve itself
@ElliotNeuman
@ElliotNeuman 3 жыл бұрын
@@XclusiveChiq good question. Best case, it could get less red with time but never "normal" looking and will always be more easily irritated. A gum graft now could get it close enough to normal and from the patient's perspective all would be fixed. From the eyes of a dentist, a gum graft now (set aside the extra procedure and cost to the pt) would still not be quite as good a result as if the tooth was uncovered properly in the first place

I started braces the summer of 6th grade. I was unable to get a doctor to fully remove them until I was over 30yrs old. They didn’t want to touch another’s work. I also had the spreader in the roof of my mouth and under my tongue. It left indents that will remain in my skeleton. The bands used to anchor my back teeth caused identical cavities in all 4 of the back molars used which lead to losing them all before I was 40. Even if it worked out great with no future problems. Having a tooth pulled and the surrounding ones left in a vice for a month to then only be tightened more is at best a miserable time. Thinking back on it is like half a century ago and still made me grab my teeth.

This was amazing! I had a question as to what tooth numbering system you use, it had thrown me through a loop for a moment there since we use the 1-32 system. Is it based on quadrants? And do you use it for primary dentition as well? Good work!
@AmykinzVlogz
@AmykinzVlogz 3 жыл бұрын
Kids teeth are numbered (here in the US) by ABC system. The numbers are used to identify adult teeth. Kids have what's called mixed dentition at one point where it's usually front teeth are numbered and back molars are still letters. Yes, there are 4 quads: upper left, upper right, lower left, lower right. upper jaw is 1 through 16, lower is 17 through 32.

He's using the FDI notation, I'd guess. First numbers are the quadrants named clockwise (1-4: 1 upper right, 4 lower right. Primary teeth usually use 5-8 instead of 1-4 ) and the teeth are named from the front to the back (central incisors 1, wisdom teeth 8). That notation is the most commonly used around the world and by the WHO btw (except of course in the US and UK)

My granddaughter was born without 3 teeth. After her front teeth came in nicely, I noticed she was missing a bicuspid. A dental appointment later shows she is missing both adult bicuspid. So the decision was made to pull 3 baby teeth to get her adult incisors to drop correctly. Well, they never did. Her front teeth have separated and she has a huge gap on both sides of them as there are 2 teeth missing on both sides. The incisors are there, they are up and behind the front teeth. She will either have to have a space left for the bicuspid or have every other tooth forced to move forward to fill the space. I am leaning toward implants when the incisors are down and in place. Yes, we will have to do the same thing to them to pull them into place, but we have to cut into the gums to get to them. She is getting discomfort from them on her front teeth. She also has no wisdom teeth. So, nothing to help fill in the back of her mouth if all the teeth are moved forward. We were told the total process will take 31-36 months! How did you accomplish what you did in 6 months?

I wanted to keep that tooth so bad! I had been waiting for that guy to come in for AGES and now not only do i not have it, but I don’t have ANY top canine teeth because the one on the other side was underdeveloped, at a 45 degree angle and hadn’t even started to move 😭Do you know how hard it is to eat steak?! All that just to hear they could’ve sliced the gum and put a chain on it to pull it down. This happened only about 6 months ago. I’m still in freaking braces. If my insurance wasn’t paying for this in full, I’d have an earful for my orthodontist about now but insted i’ll just complain on the internet. Wish i had this doctor…

I at 20 have 3 impacted canines. I currently have braces and have an appointment to get my final baby tooth removed. At my next ortho appointment, they will hopefully be lasering the gum and attaching brackets to my canines. My estimated time to have braces that the orthodontist told me is 18-24 months I believe. I didn't even know I still had any baby teeth until my wisdom teeth consult appointment when I was 18. The dentist asked if I wanted my baby canines removed the same day as my wisdom teeth I said of course I do. He said nothing of the 3rd baby canine and I didn't find out about that one until my orthodontic consult. So now I have 3 canines that don't want to move into place on their own and none of them pushed my baby teeth out like they were supposed to. My last baby canine is still not even loose.
