Wendell got cocky in WAW big time. I blame him for the Sele 2.0 two consecutive crucial losses. If not for his cockiness, they could have made it merge without lossing any member. With that, they were forced to eliminate power players that could potentially help his alliance gain power going to merge and establish strong footing to last long with security. Wendell himself screwed his own game entering merge with no strong footing. You cannot rely with two goats(Nick & Michelle) to made it to the end. You need some strategic brains to maneuver, and those two have no capability of doing so.

Makes a lot more sense when you hear it explained like that

Kim stepped down on her first season to lay low. It worked She knew the vote was between her, Jeremy and Tony. She thought those 2 were perceived as the bigger immunity threats and that she didn't feel she could last much longer anyway. I don't think anyone understood how much control Tony had over Sarah and Ben. Ben obviously wanted Jeremy out and I think Sarah would have preferred to get rid of Jeremy first. Had Sarah been smart she would have had her and Ben vote Jeremy and made a move without Tony to earn respect from the jury. Instead it set up to make Tony look like, as Boston Rob called him, a boss.

Yeah, because there are advantages and disadvantages to either sex. Women get free shit all the time just for looking pretty. Most of the time men have to pay bills. There's such a thing as "Ladies' Night" where women drink free but I've never heard of "Men's Night." Women can cry and nobody cares but if a man cries he's viewed as weak. Women can wear pants and nobody will bat an eye, whereas if a man wears a skirt, he's definitely hearing about it. Society has roles and expectations. When you don't meet them, sometimes you'll get a negative reaction. It is what it is.

The hypocrisy of Sarah is amazing, the way she talked about Michele and her game was nasty. Not to mention she gave a pregame interview stating that Michele didn’t deserve to be there as Aubrey definitely deserved to win her first season. The fact that not only did Michele outplay Sarah, she also was mocked by Sarah for “Not keeping her mouth shut” when Michele was telling her what was what. Sarah thinks she’s a lot better than she actually is, she was Tony’s minion and fell for Michele’s move to get Ben out over herself. “Perception is everything” I also want to add, Michele went from underrated to one of the GOATs simply by playing the same game twice. 7:06 You guys can say "it's been years, Sarah has just changed since then" but let's be real here, that speech about gender bias on this season was primarily motivated by jury management. It's not like she was trying to have a real discussion about politics/culture with anybody sitting there at tribal council - it's literally a one sided speech. If she really wanted to have a productive discussion, don't you think including something like "even I've been guilty of this in the past... women we need to come together and stop tearing each other down" would have been a great, heartfelt, genuine thing for her to say? But instead she had no mention of her own role in those biases in the past, and overall the speech felt like it was about women being repressed by men with no mention of women also repressing each other. Overall I just don't think that it's ever a good look to use social issues and virtue signalling in Survivor as a platform for your own game, and it's an even worse look to complain about a problem you yourself have been part of without taking any responsibility for your role.

7:07 This is actually something that I think cost the women (and how they were labelled) a lot over 40 seasons of Survivor: Kelly(phony, yet same alliance, votes + more II), Kim(unworthy, yet more II than Ethan), Twila(b***h, yet a more cuthroat game which she owned up to), Danielle(not likeable, yet same disfunctional alliance and moves + beat Dietz when it counted + fire challenge win), Amanda, Dawn, Monica(too emotional, yet same alliance and moves like Todd, Cochran, Tyson). The 2 that really stick out the most are Chrissy and Carolyn who IMHO played much better games overall than Ben and Mike. Again, I dunno if all these women should have won, but some were smoked at FTC instead of a close vote, which is completely unfair.

@encycl07pedia-4 жыл бұрын
Danielle beat Dietz at balancing on a small wooden circle in the ocean (not exactly a good measure of physicality) and she very well could've lost to Aras had he not intentionally dropped out. Amanda can't stick up for herself and always looks like a hurt puppy. Dawn? Yeah, the crybaby who wanted to quit because she was too embarrassed to play without her dentures was amazing at Survivorbb /sarcasm. Monica was not calling the shots. Tyson was. Kim Spradlin played against a bunch of morons. I think it was 4th place Christina that didn't even try to fight for FTC. At least the players in Africa were competent and not total morons. One World had the worst and dumbest cast in Survivor history where one tribe gave up tribal immunity for no good reason. No question that Kim won on Easy Mode. Voting is fair. Perception is why people vote for someone else to win or lose. That's true of all voting, not just on Survivor.
@Android-ws7bv4 жыл бұрын
Richard was the better player Ethan was a very likable guy Chris was very good at jury management I did not watch panama Amanda did not present her game well enough for the jury Dawn was almost quitting the game hated by Brenda and Cochran was just a lot better then her and Monica wasn’t calling the shots and because of her husband and probably the fact that she betrayed Hayden Ciera and Tina. I will say that the final 2 that you listed could have won however survivor favors the way Ben and Mike play. If you have a problem with that then again it happens to men such rob all stars and russel Samoa
@allan526alec4284 жыл бұрын
@@encycl07pedia- Dude, comparing kim and ethan in the original post was comparing Kim Johnson and Ethan, the final two of survivor africa, and as your whole argument about kim spradlin being bad revolved around knowing things about africa you should have known that. Yes. duh perception is why people vote the way they due, and what is being pointed out is a bias to perceive women who make big, strategic moves (the kind that people say should win you the game) in an unfavorable light, where as, for example if tony was in kass's spot in cagayan where he flipped and then made it to the end it would have been seen as a big powerful move. I also disagree with some of the original names thrown out, but saying that the way amanda played deserved more than one jury vote isn't some kind of revelation. mike and ben were both saved by an abundance of idols and couldn't make it to the end on the merits of their gameplay, and yet carolyn who did need an idol because of mike's immunity but only once, and also constantly positioned herself in a better spot throughout the game, and chrissy, who was always where she needed to be with the votes on her side, where ben was barely surviving and only made it to the end because of a twist. yes of course the jury gets the final say and we weren't there to say what the "right" decision is, but it would be wise of people on the jury to examine their personal bias and try to look at things more objectively. And the fact that your argument hinges on downplaying female player's games and calling them things like "a hurt puppy" and a "crybaby" only proves that point.
@commentingperson95544 жыл бұрын
@@allan526alec428 I mean, I don't think a man has ever won the game over a woman because they're a man. I don't want to see women win just because they're women, and that's what the juries are going to make happen because of this whole gender bias issue. A man hasn't been crowned victorious in the last six seasons because they're a man, only because they were the best player. It's a coincidence, not a problem.

I had no idea Jeff made that comment about bringing colorful women back. More often than not, I think the women are FAR more fun to watch. I'm not sure there's a single man in my top 10. Poor Sophie at final tribal council. I don't think she was intentionally unamused. She was probably still recovering from being sick (or was still sick), and the rain surely didn't help.

@@mi1fmi1k It literally depends on how you act towards people. Kass was an asshole towards Spencer in Cagayan and blamed it on gender why she wasn't respected, but players like Cirie and Sandra actually had social skills and are seen as some of the best players ever/respected by their castmates.

She has a point though. Russell, one of the most evil/cut throats players is considered one of the best while someone like Dawn, who played a cut throat game is considered a horrible person.

@@marvelousmeh2077 nah we do have obnoxious Russell stans but a fair amount of people over time realize that he can play as hard as he could but it'll never be efficient enough to win.
