SPECTACULAR, Si!!! The candlestick holder is brilliant , and it was so lovely of Nelly & Daisy to drop by & say hi. We love seeing them. We also love seeing Cuffs (whose real name is Mike! Who knew??) The two of you are mudlarking machines. I did wonder how youse guys were going divy things up. As for the blubbery stuff used to make the mold, did you REALLY not read the ingredients, cautions, etc until AFTER you submerged your hand in it??? That algae material was what used to form analog hearing ear pieces back in the 20th century. Though a lot less material was used than the pail full here. I love that kind of gloopy stuff

Great finds! Your candlestick turned out GREAT! Alginate is so fun! A few years back I cast old baby doll faces with it, put in some of that papier mache that's mixed with marble dust, and held them while squeezing the faces into various distorted shapes, then set them into a bed of more papier-mache to make a bas-relief. It looks like ancient marble.

The candle holder reminded me of the 'Hand of Glory' which used to be used in casting spells, using the hand of a hanged man to hold the candle. I'm sure it wasn't Si's intention (!), and it still looks great. Excellent video - loved it.
