He came down with a severe throat infection & the Doctors told him he couldn't perform without permanently damaging his voice. So the producers of BGT made the decision to allow him to use a previously recorded audition. That combined with him being out due to the illness led to his elimination. Just FYI, everyone keeps saying the wrong person as his real name & "Dev" was short for Devil. Well, that's completely wrong, his name is actually Devonte Armitage & he goes by Dev.

I really thought that Dev knocked that one out of the park and the Irish priest was the best and most meaningful version I've ever heard of everybody hurts but Maxwell, even though I don't normally listen to that kind of music, I was immediately filled with overwhelming emotions and literally brought to tears. With Maxwell you could see he knew how to place the microphone so as not to over drive it. I dare say he could have sung without the mic and still *filled* that theatre with his voice. A true operatic singer.

I think Charlotte was Jonathan's emotional support. He needed her for his confidence. No offense to Charlotte but Jonathan blew her out of the water. Thank you to Charlotte for being there for him. You're an awesome person with a beautiful voice too. I like them together but I think they'd both be great on their own as well. They could do a whole show just the two of them doing different songs together and separately.

It also makes me feel good that a person can teach a lesson to over 3,000 people in the audience that judging someone and bring cruel is not cool. There are still a lot of people out in the wild who have such dramatic and incredible talent, who have yet to be discovered.

I still love Susan's personality. It breaks my heart that the fame made her sad for a bit. I hope she's doing better now. She deserves to live her life and sing any songs that she'd like. She's got a lovely set of pipes to go with her spunky personality. She's the whole package. I hope her family is proud.

She’s always had depression, and couldn’t be in the same room as people. She was a loner but singing changed all that! She eventually plucked up the courage to go on BGT where as we all know her life changed. For you to say she was sad, no she’s happy as she’s toured the world and received help for her depression. She recently had a stroke but had been well enough to perform on BGT 2023 finale!

She was finally diagnosed properly with Asperger's and got treatment. She has a wonderful man in her life and even though she recently had a stroke, she sang like a trooper once again! She's amazing and lovely! 💐💐💐💕💕💕💕

I think the two that shocked me the most because I had never heard them before was Jal who sang Open Arms and the Priest who sang the song from REM! They were both really good. And of the other acts that I have seen Sam from Nicotine Dolls is my absolute favorite.

I just love Father Ray so much. His style of singing is unique. I don't really feel he gained his true voice till he got older and gained some gravel to his voice but when he got it ... man oh MAN did he get it. Listen to his other songs and just heal your soul! Susan is a dream talent and overlooked for far too long. Jonathan is a tremendous talent but I felt he did a poor job of matching his partner Charlette because he totally overpowered her. Simon was right. It was Charlotte's call to step it up. We know how it ended up.
