I worked at Sam Goodies in the mall. It was Marie Calendars before that. My grandma told us it was haunted. I didn't believe her till I started to work there. The manager would always be scared to go in to the store room or bathroom without someone near by. Things would move. Like the things hunging would swing with on wind blowing. Stuff like that.

My cousins worked at Sears Windward mall and they can tell you some stories.

My son works there during the night and he said feels good. Doesn’t feel spooky. And of course me and my family go there at night every time.

thing is......the spirits know whos souls give respect without fear......I too, noticed that graveyard so close by Sears....wonder if haunts in the store led to lack of customers inside the store shopping and because of that, mgmt decides to close......Watch out Target!

I know before windward mall, it was a cow pasture… my dad and his brother has a picture of them in that land… partly owned by the kukahiwa ohana

The cemetery is not “behind” the mall, it’s literally in the parking lot of the mall, so it’s on the premises of the mall. I’ve heard stories about windward mall being haunted since I was a little girl, plenty people get stories. I figure if so many people have stories, there must be something going on.

Yup. Wasn't the same when they installed the deterrent railings for shoplifters in the walkways. But it did stop the older folks racing their motorized scooters and nearly running people over😂
