One shoe that I really enjoy running in is the Adidas Adistar. It's seriously niche as it is aimed at slower, heavier runners. If you don't fit in that club, then give them a miss as they're pretty heavy. If however, you are a heavier runner who is looking to get some serious mileage in, then they are brilliant. The icing on the cake is that their challenging looks mean that they can always be found on heavy discount at online retailers. So give this shoe some love folks, especially if you carry the odd extra kilo, like myself. Your feet will thank you.😉

Most unrated shoe for me ( and so many people disliked them ) is the Saucony Endorphin Shift 3.. for longer runs , I always used the Triumph. I struggled with the 20 and 21.. Hurt my feet and did not work for me.. Had avoided the Shift 3 but they were on sale so bought a pair. Absolutely loved them. Long runs, daily and can even pick up the pace.. Gone but not forgotten..

Got the Brooks Ghost Max after watching your review and got a good deal on it. Loved them! They are a little firm, and not extremely squishy. They are light weight too, and have a nice rocker sensation. Overall I loved them a lot. Bought a pair for my wife, and she loved them too though she uses them for walking. I hope Brooks doesn't mess up this model in v2. I'll buy another pair for sure!

Which is sad because its my favorite stability shoe. Which I'm still using to this day from owning it since October of last year, until my Saucony ride 17 arrives to me. Even if the second version is an upper update, I'm still going to buy it.

Altra vanish tempo, tried that, loved it. Second run in a “zero drop” shoe. And this was just pure fun. Soft enough for daily stuff, fast enough to pick it up. Lovely comfertable wide toe box. I really don’t get this hole “drop” thing, as we are often just talking about 1cm max, which is pretty tiny. But yeah - vanish tempo. Love it.

Me also like to run in the Brooks ghost max a very good workhose that makes me a stronger runner because you're really working like the old days, now a lot of runners are using responsive shoes for all their runs but they don't improve so much because the muscles are not fully putting the work and they become a weaker runner.. so me when on raceday I put a carbon shoe it feels much easier to run fast..

I don my Kinvara Pros for long training runs when I feel the need for a bit more support. Comfortable and stable. The only downside for me is their traction in downpours, although I have not yet had any issues with slipping. I'm not sure I would pay $180 for a pair, but having picked them up on Day 1 for $120 due to an apparent one-day mis-pricing event, they were a "no brainer." Love 'em!

Also used them on easy paceded runs ,longruns, goal paced runs, ave done the lot in this shoe. Ive used them on all sufaces concrete paths, gravel, grass, inclines, hills. All year round all weathers. Took a few runs to break them in but most shoes are like that . For me a great all rounder shoe with great cushiong as well for them longer runs .

Brooks Hyperion Max is not very fashionable but great training shoe that has multiple gears. It needs a bit of breaking period however. Also, its predecessor Hyperion Tempo is down to $65 in US (while Brooks is clearing its stock) and such a lightweight and durable shoe for speed interval workouts.

I like soft, bouncy foams, and the Kinvara Pro was the opposite for me. Too stiff, too firm and too heavy, even for easy runs. A shoe I would recommend (if you can get a good lock down) that is under the radar is the Diadora Gara Carbon, but at £250 I guess it will always be under the radar of most.

The Saucony Axon 3 is one of my all-time favourite shoes. I usually swap between the Axon 3s and the Puma Velocity Nitro 2 for my long and easy runs. At the same time, it does decently when I want to pick up the pace. I’ve put 400 km into my current pair over the course of the Canadian winter, and they’re showing minimal wear and tear. Plus, they’re dirt cheap, regularly on sale for under $80 CAD where I live - I have two more pairs in boxes in my closet, waiting to go.
