As parties prepare for next year's general elections, bigger parties like the ANC and the DA, fresh from an elective conference, have clear strategies on how to win voters. However, some smaller parties like the Congress of the People, are in disarray, yet, somehow they wield so much power that a party like the Congress of the People, for instance, hold powerful positions in some of the country's powerful metros. COPE holds the position of Speaker in Johannesburg, it recently lost the mayorship in Tshwane and it's very influential in the politics of Ekhuruleni. But in the bigger scheme of things who is COPE and why should such a weak, limping, mess of an organisation take important decisions about our lives? Why should you care?
Well, tonight we hear from the Deputy President of COPE, Willie Madisha, we also welcome former COPE Youth leader Anele Mda as well as Nkosikhulule Nyembezi who a is Policy Analyst at the Elections Monitoring Africa Network.
