Jonathan has some crazy lows. Check their performance of “roots” with sepultura. He was growling better than their current vocalist.

thank you for these. korn is my favorite band, and it's so sad to see how many people stopped listening after like, 1999. they're still so good and have stayed in the game by evolving. much love.

My favourite track of theirs in recent years. The chorus always sends shivers down my spine. JD has such an underrated singing voice. Interesting how you mentioned Untouchables as well seeing as Hating off that album is another one of my favourites. It's kinda funny really. Head rejoins and they come out with this track. Clint Lowery rejoins Sevendust and they come out with Unravelling.

JD never gets enough credit for his actual singing voice.

I've seen this one live a couple times and both Head and Monkey do back up vocals for this song.

always thought love and meth was a play on love and death, since it was Heads return album.

Fun fact, It was actually supposed to be a Love and Death song but Head thought it was better suited for Korn. So pretty much you are correct

Hey, long time Korn fan here, a bit late to the party 😅 You probably know it by now but this is indeed JD growling on this track (also have to mention JD trying a little vibrato in the song). This is what years of vocal training will accomplish. JD got a recommendation from a specialist who feared that JD could loose his voice in the next few years if he would continue singing like he did. So he started vocal training sometime around 2000 (shortly after the release of untouchables) and it took him a while to get to this point (probably because he has suffered with asthma his whole life) But if you would for example watch this song live from family values 2013 and any other song from family values 1998 it almost sounds as if there have been two different vocalists in Korn since they formed the band. 😆

I became a Korn fan in 2005 after I came home from the us military. Yet heard this song first time last year mid 2020 during coronavirus since it’s not easy to find do it’s title here on YT. Easily in my top 4 for Korn with Insane, Coming Undone, and Black is the soul.

This song was at the beginning of my fatally destructive relationship and beginning of romance with meth. Somehow it amplified the pain tenfold. So did with love. With your voracious appetite for suffering, Dan just NEVER do it.

The Serenity Of Suffering is my favorite newer Korn album because it straight rock/metal throughout the whole album, The Paradigm Shift had it's softer songs, but the heavier songs on TPS are some of the best songs from Korn ever, especially Punishment Time and Mass Hysteria!
