I wanna say that Jinjer has a lead bass instead of lead guitar, but don't want to put down the awesome work Roman does too haha. Really their musical sound seems to me to be built around all 3 instruments working together seamlessly as a delivery system for Tati's secret weapon level vocals. And it works stunningly well.

Jinjer is the fastest growing metal band in the past 2 years. They did a few US tours as support band for Devil Driver, and others, but have solidified themselves as a touring headliner already. This is the last year you'll be able to see them in any 500-1000 capacity rooms. They will be a big theater band, and festival headliner over the course of the next 2 years. Their new album is slated to come out this fall, and not even a year after the last release of "Micro" that this song is on. I watched them blow Devil Driver off their own stage at The Machine Shop in Flint MI last fall.

They were at Wacken past week. A bit early in the day (11am I think), followed by Antrax, Within Temptation, Opeth, etc They are breaking through to the big time festivals and they deserve it. Also, you should see their calendar for this year. They have daily shows all over the world with barely any breaks for the rest of the year.

Jinjer is certainly something different. You're right that it's not just Tatiana's voice that is surprising about them. They're definitely one of the more interesting bands musically as well. I've said it before in the comments to one of your previous videos, but I'll say it again now; you should definitely also check out Alien Weaponry (who are signed with Napalm Records, same as Jinjer, as it happens). I saw them live just yesterday in Eindhoven, here in the Netherlands, at Dynamo Metalfest. They were absolutely fantastic. Tremendous energy. Only bad thing about it was that at just 35 minutes, they had the shortest set on the program. I would've been quite happy with a much longer set. That said, awesome though they may be live, I'd still recommend the official video for their song "Kai Tangata" for your first reaction to them. By the way, I fully intend to keep repeating myself until you actually _do_ react to Alien Weaponry, so if you don't want to get sick and tired of seeing me request them, you'd better get to them soon. 😅

There is not a bad Jinjer song that I've been able to find. The band has been through several lineup changes and still kept a tight sound with talented musicians throughout. "Teacher, Teacher" is one of their more recent releases, and "Pisces" is a mid- period song with the live session being a re-record after they picked up their new (and current) drummer. Now I'd suggest taking a look at a song from their earlier days with Tatiana on vocals like "Scissors" or maybe "Exposed As A Liar". Both of those have a kind of 90's North American Nu Metal feel to them, but of course they still have that Jinjer originality and talent.

Everything on their EP Micro is utterly superb on every level - lyrics, composition, the performance by every member of the band, and of course Tati's vocals. Dreadful Moments is hard to listen to cuz it is about child abuse, but even it is incredibly powerful...which makes it hard to listen to. My only complaint with any song on the album is I want 2 more minutes of Ape haha. I like that the mixing is less obtrusive and closer to their live sound than on King Of Everything. King of Everything and Cloud factory are both excellent albums without any bad songs - I personally don't get A Plus Or A Minus but I see people request reactions to it, so clearly there are folks who disagree with me on that. I had ignored Inhale Don't Breathe at first because Tati didn't write the songs, but I just bought it and it is awesome too. Inhale Don't Breathe is legacy songs from the former singer that Tati brutally owns - the other guy was very good but Tati is just so phenomenal. Jinjer is just so good all around.
