4:16 something relatively small but worth considering imo, is that the gems themselves could have existed before Magwood. They eventually act as eyes for Ice Thing after all, so just because Evergreen calls them "Magwood's eyes" doesn't necessarily mean that's where they came from. Who's to say these gems don't bring about this sort of thing by nature? The crown is an example of one particularly elaborate chain of events, but in Magwood's case could be something as simple as the gems being thrown into a volcano and giving the magma life.

What if it's a type of Primordial creation. The Lich makes it's undead, it's well, and and Mushroom Bomb. Another used magic, made some followers to make magic and take it for itself. Gob itself made the Primordials. So maybe there's a knowledge Primordial that knew it was going to die because it would know how to kill the others, and knew it would be taken out, so it made the Enchiridion in order to help anything out in the future to do anything. The book being sentient, would update itself in a way that would allow us reader to easily understand it, but it knows it can also be destroyed if used by the wrong reader. And then you get Finn who uses it as a chair and gives it to a bear

Since they were mostly interested in being heroes during their time with the Enchiridion, they were mostly shown how to be the best heroes they could be. @ultrainstinctvegito4063 Жыл бұрын
@@IronianKnight That make sense. Though it’s still funny to think about how despite having something so powerful so early on, Finn and Jake never though to use it on serious situation( I would’ve use that thing the moment I have to deal with the Litch) but maybe they just didn’t consider it ‘cause like you said, they only care about how to be great heroes at the time which is fair.
@MasterOfTruck Жыл бұрын
@@ultrainstinctvegito4063 to be completely fair, the enchiridion is basically just a plot hole in on itself. its an artifact that possesses information on literally everything, and gives you the exact information youre looking for under the condition it isnt withholding said information out of spite. if finn and jake consulted it for every tough situation, they wouldnt actually _learn_ how to be full fledged heroes if they were always told the solution. the biggest thing about being a hero is the experience and wisdom you gain as you face hardships on your journey. the writers had to purposely ignore the enchiridion because they knew it would completely trivialize any situation if finn and jake actually used it to its fullest potential.

I was just wondering about the enchirdion, I think it's really weird that the ice crown gem, and generally just a bunch of random gems, are instrumental in unlocking prismo's room. I'd be curious to know if there's some mad pattern that could be seen, of course taking into account the fact that the icre crown gems would actually be associated with lava or just pure wish magic. The three elemental gems (unrelated note, why isn't there a true ice elemental gem? Even if the ice elemental wasn't around to form a kingdom, I would expect that gem to be floating around considering all the others still existed in farmworld. Why did betty only need the three for the reversal spell in elemental? Are there only the three? And another thing why did the icecrown work eith lumpy space princess?? Is it an ice elemental gem? It certainly isn't after the cown grts reset in come along with me, before gunter rewishes for something similar making it icy again, so there must be one other than it, or else before evergreen there would be no ice elemental gem. Whatever I'm getting carried away) those all make enough sense, since they are instrumental to the structure of nature? The universe? Idk if the elements are strictly building blocks of life or whatever in ooo, or if they're fundamental to the mechanisms behind the entire universe. Either way, they've got some bizz about being more important than for example hotdog princess whose gem they needed. Like why the heck did they need embryo pri cess's gem to open prismo's room??

The Enchiridion, if being able to be found in any version and timeline of the multiverse, then it stands to reason _it has always existed_ and most importantly, _it cannot be permanently destroyed._ I think it potentially holds the entire history of reality from its beginning until the end of time. The trick tho, would be able to witness or hold any ammount of knowledge in order to act as a topic keyfinder so the information can materialize in its otherwise blank pages when browsing it. And even if destroyed, it most likely rematerializes in a hidden enough location so as to not be found until everyone has forgotten its existence, allowing its ethereal substance rematerialize and be found again.

I find it hard to say it’s more powerful than the crown for a few reasons; one could just use the crown to wish for the book, the book needs the gem from the crown as you said, the crown was able to be used to fuse with golb. I don’t think that any one of these things makes the crown more powerful, but all 3 combined with the sheer lack of information the show has on the book makes me truly believe the crown is indeed more powerful.
@TrueLocalEnthusiast Жыл бұрын
Not knocking the crown, but the book has the knowledge of how to make something like the crown. The gems of power are only needed for specific rituals as there's other things the book still provides. Considering it also provides secret insights into the literal functionality of the cosmos you could theoretically do anything. The crown on the other hand is still incredibly limited and though it uses the gems as a power source that says more so about the gems than the crown itself.

Had this question in the back of my mind for a while now and I think here's as good a time as any to ask it: where exactly do you get the information for your videos from? Not challenging you or accusing you of anything, just genuinely curious. I went over the Enchiridion's wiki page and couldn't find anything about it containing "information on every possible subject," just the standard hero instruction manual and multiverse stuff. I really like the image you painted of the book and its abilities, I just wanna know where it comes from.
@TrueLocalEnthusiast Жыл бұрын
Great question! Also please do challenge me as I'm only human and I make mistakes sometimes too. But I get my info on my subjects through 3 things. The first is the most obvious which is episodes. In The Lich it's displayed that it has the ability to not only track everything within the multiverse but also catalogs it. The second source is through the enchiridion itself. The enchiridion was released as an official book that we can read. This gave a bunch of info to work with and it describes events that happened before it could've possibly been created and topics that no other normal being could have been aware of. 3rd is speculation, though I always make it clear when I reference a theory to ensure no one looks at it as fact(Yes it still happens sometimes) anyway hope this helps 👍

1:59 me: freedom-CHIM-mantling-breaking free from the eternal dream- and finally manifesting your own physical form for real. [Smash cut] the original dreamer is just the ice Queen trying to get us to manifest ourselves and running infinite dimension just to come up with that singular answer.

Wild theory me and a group of friends had, the yellow catalyst comic was the Einchiridion.

Its wild (but not really) that the OC mentioned the past, present and future all happening at the same time. I was watching something just last night and that same concept was brought up. And its not the first time I've heard that.

I have another Adventure Time what if for you. What If Finn never came to Ooo. What do I mean by this, well, Finn is raised in Founder's Island with his parents and the incident with the old lady and her bodyguard where they attacked Martin's house never happened and Martin and Finn were still in their house playing. Because of Finn never coming to Ooo, what would the lives of Jake would be if Finn never came to Ooo. Would he still be a criminal. Second, what would the lives of Ooo's resident would be if Finn never came to Ooo.

1:58 I’m gonna have to disagree with you on that one. I feel like a lot of the time it’s shown it deliberately avoids giving useful information. For example the better passage to show farm world fin would have been one on the lichs weaknesses and how to remove it from a mortal, instead it gave him a very complex spell that got him one step closer to getting what he wanted. Regular fin got “how to kiss princesses” when a better one would have been “guide to deepening friendship with princesses”. I think it’s part of what makes the enchiridion so seemingly inconsequential, when you look into it you get what at first glance seems like useful information, but what is on closer inspection the guide to the longest and least efficient means of getting what you want that is possible. For Betty the best way to help Simon would have been a method of borrowing or stealing a bit of Golbs power to digest the crowns influence away from Simon. Or something that mimicked that undoing reality effect, instead she got a complex and ultimately useless time travel spell. TLDR: the book seems to give you what you want, but it’s being deliberately unhelpful
