This is *the* game me and my dad play together. Since I was a small kid we played golf against each other on the Wii. On the Wii it used to be me, my mom and my dad competing against each other, though my mom could not reach me and my dad's level the longer we played. After I got a Switch for christmas, me and my dad has picked up golf against each other again. The first time we played, I figured out how to stop mid-air and began putting distance between my score and my dad's. We began having a fight of who could cheat their way to the hole quickest. He kept getting stuck while I cleared a lot of holes in 3 strikes or less. TLDR; Golf used to be me and my dad's favourite game, we stopped playing, and came back to this game where I directed us into a cheat match my dad loss badly.

It's interesting what things one can learn when playing around with the game making software called Dreams and Game Maker Garage. Like getting a rough idea of how this game 'functions'. Step one: Build the world. Looks like a lot of reused assets. But fills out the world. Step two: Make the balls. So far, on par. Step three: Assign the play area 'grass' and 'wall' to be touchable and interactive with stock physics engine by the ball. Already, we can see the flaw of this basic logic. When at one point, the ball comes to rest in this overspill of 'fair' grass asset that's outside the wall. As for those red objects that move. That's day one lesson stuff in Dreams. And I do highly agree that the ball stop function feels like a programmer's test function that just got left in. Why, just the other week, I downloaded some game from the X-Box shop that functioned so poorly, the start menu said it would not function with the X-Box controller. So, I am not doubting that some garage based PC user made this game with barely a budget. Who knows. Maybe his brother was the sole game tester.

The mention of billiards inspired me to conceptualize Microgolf; which you play with pool cues and balls on a long waist high felt course, and Putter's Billiards which is on a large grass rectangle with golf balls and clubs. Normal rules apply to each.

Nuns are pretty cool. But I'll always remember that time I was in Rome and saw Friars. Like brown robe, rope belt, bald on top of the head guys. I've never seen them outside of a Robin Hood story, and there they were in the wild! At least I assume they're Friars, I really don't know how the clergy ranking system works. Do you have to beat up a demon to be a Friar? Does having sex with angels make you a Cardinal?
