She still said a lot that's not accurate. The Green Party in Germany is not only viewed as Antichr by the far-right and the right, but from "real" leftists too. They keep a "leftist" fassade by dogmatically striving for progressive politics in a totalitarian way and defaming opposition as right-wingers even though progressive politics doesn't have a lot to do with leftism. In terms of economic politics the Greens are rightwingers themselves... Not even mentioning their bellicism. And what is especially wrong is that she said there are 3, 4 or 5 options on the left - which is completely untrue! SPD is not "leftist", the Greens are not leftist and even the "Leftist Party" is not leftist since they chum up to the political establishment. They approve weapons deliveries to Ukraine, they don't talk about Gaza and they approved 2-class-society in C and were complicit in defaming the unvaccinated. Then there is the CDU and the FDP - both right wing parties. The only party which can be called "leftists" in a vague way is the BSW. So what is she talking about 3,4,5 options on the left? And what she doesn't mention at all is the fact that Björn Höcke only got 18% in his election district. The Thuringians didn't vote for Höcke, they voted for the AfD and since Höcke doesn't represent the whole AfD but only the extremist wing of the party it's not the same.

@Patrick-ep4sf2 ай бұрын
Katja's explaination regarding the unpopular Green party and windfarms popping up in Eastern Germany is an oversimplification. I am sure Katja knows better, however, viewers might not understand. Two imho very relevant examples of Green party policy that alienated a lot of voters: - German citizens pay the highest (or at least in the very top tier) electricity prices in Europe (or even the world?), while nuclear power plants are being closed down. Not even in the face of the crisis in Ukraine and lack of gas supply from Russia, the schedule was changed. Most power plants were even physically destroyed, so they can never be reopened. - German winters can be harsh, so heating your house/apartment is one of the major costs of living in Germany. The Green party forced a new legislation that restricts the options of possible heating systems to electric heat pumps ONLY. For old houses, especially in Eastern Germany, the necessary renovation costs to make such a heating feasible can outweigh the worth of the whole house. The legislation was ammended after all, so the immediate effect is less painful.
@Patrick-ep4sf2 ай бұрын
In other words, the Green policy hits people where it hurts. In their pockets.
@CrapeCraft2 ай бұрын
I think the biggest thing here is that Germany already shot itself in the foot by taking down it's nuclear plants. Nuclear energy has become (and frankly already was when compared to coal) an incredibly safe, stable and efficient way to generate electricity. But the shortsighted German government took them all out and now they're stuck tearing down ancient villages to continue barely subsisting off their depleted coal veins.

I think you could be right with your comments on the DDR people and their re-integration (better said integration) with BRD. I worked alongside lots of men from East Germany and I liked them greatly for their genuine politeness and decency. They, as did a number of my Polish work mates told stories of how it was in the cold war, but it was the Germans who felt that they had been mistreated, misunderstood and derided by their family in the west since reunification. I went back to my homeland (well, my previous homeland) Lancashire in north west England 8 years ago, the time before that 5 years, the time before that 10 years. Each time I returned to visit there was less and less of the country that I had loved so much, the last time I went, I decided that it would be the LAST time. This is why I said integration of East Germans in to West Germany, because a person cannot be "re-integrated in to a society that they were never a part of because they had been cut off for so many years. Yes a lot of the East Germans feel hard done by and rightly so for a number of reasons. I have been living for a number of years in Germany (better said Deutschland) and this is my home land, the land where I belong. I cannot stand the Government but I love the people who have welcomed me here with open arms and also retrained me so as I could better support my family (many years ago). I have a customer at work who is always very friendly and calls me Mr Churchill, which makes me smile. When I worked for a short time as an electrician in England many years ago, firstly I was called Adolf which didn't bother me and I would simply reply in a number of different languages with the best insults that they simply could not understand, this upset them and made me smile. Secondly, I was paid less because my electrical qualifications were/are German. Funny thing when a man serves his country for 14 years then returns to work for a while and is called Adolf by plebs who had never done done a single thing for their country. As I mentioned in another post, I think this although nail biting for me is a very good situation, not only good, but NECESSARY, for our democracy. The other parties (ALL OF THEM) are corrupt globalist puppets. I watch a lot of Sahra and listen very carefully to how she speaks. She is very clever and I have to admit (even though I do not vote for her) I love to watch her drive the other politicians and corrupt msm NUTS! No wonder this intelligent lady is moving her party so quickly up the ladder.

Why do you think that is? And when they take away AFD voters, that is their legitimate right. They have a right to compete and former AFD voters have a right to make a better match.

As a German I'm so fed up with politician living in an alternate reality and ignoring the obvious problems. More than 50% in both Thuringia and Saxony voted for right-wing parties (CDU and AfD). Also in the closing stages ahead of the election the CDU copied many of the AfD's talking points. But while the AfD is branded as right-wing extremist for these positions, this does not apply to the CDU. And as is always the case after an election in the last 20 years, as they say here somewhat flippantly: "The CDU blinks right and then turns left." This means that before election day, conservative, right-wing positions are represented in order to secure approval. After election day, the CDU enters into a coalition with left-wing parties and ignores the pressing problems (welfare state migration, crime, education, energy costs, etc.). The mere fact that the coalition currently governing at the federal level in Thuringia and Saxony only has a total of 11% and 13% of the vote, respectively, should give you pause. It's actually a lesson for left-wing politics, but business as usual is still practiced. Maybe things have to get significantly worse before they can get better. Hopefully we don't miss the point of no return.
@mimo58532 ай бұрын
@synthee Serious question…….if the CDU pretends to be more right wing and then turns around and joins a left wing coalition why do the German people keep falling for it? Are their just a lot of really stupid people that don’t see them doing this? If people want to vote for a right party to get more right wing policies why don’t they just vote for a pin actual right wing party instead? Why would they repeatedly keep falling for the bait and switch, and then be upset that the CDU isn’t doing what they want them to do? Just vote for the party that will actually do it instead of playing CDU’s games!

@@frederiquecouture3924 😂 there's a direct link between Scientology, Trump, and the techniques used by the right wing echosphere, who also tie to NXIVM (Elon promoted it) Epstein (Trump's bff for20+ years) and Saville, (who Brand idolised) and the Monarchy who (Shapiro and Piers Morgan defends). Tate dated Peterson's daughter and Elon went to the same Jesuit University as Trump, and Epstein hooked up Elon's brother, just like he did for Trump. Trump's lawyer Alan Dershowitz said he was introduced to Epstein by Lynn de Forrester Rosschild. Scientology is training these people in the tactics of brainwashing, basically what MK Ultra became, and probably run by the CIA, and Opus Dei, which is basically the same thing. Their principle strategy is Gaslighting. Gaslighting, aka Grooming. Accusation in a mirror (AiM), mirror politics, mirror propaganda, mirror image propaganda, is a hate-speech incitement technique where one falsely attributes to one's adversaries the intentions that one has for oneself and/or the actions that one is in the process of enacting. It was used in Rwanda, Guatemala, Brazil, and Burma, each having ties to Mossad. Trump, Barr, Bannon, Cippolone, Gore, Guiliani, Leo, Alito, Thomas, and Barrett are all Opus Dei. Trump trained alongside Epstein and Roger Stone under Roy Cohn, who used kids to blackmail politicians on behalf of Mossad. Cohn trained under Meyer Lansky, who trained under Hoover. Also Hindu Nationalists Ramaswamy, Tulsi, Haley, Hirsi, DeSouza, Modi etc. Edward Snowden worked for Pentagon Comptroller Dov Zakheim and was bought to us by Glen Greenwald, who now rubs shoulders with Jesuit Agent Provocateurs Tucker Carlson and Joe Rogan, whose mutual friend with Steven Crowder Brian Callen is the founder of Diligence, a spook Contractor to the CIA. Julian Assange helped Roger Stone and the Trump Campaign in 2016, being the first to suggest challenging the outcome if he lost, and asking to be made the Australian ambassador to the US. Margeret Sunbyrne, the head of the Sun Worship Cult he was raised in was also protected by the CIA in the Australian Supreme Court, on grounds of "National Security" Trump paints himself Orange to represent Apollo. Aleister Crowley inspired NXIvM and Manson, and was a master of mind control, his Protege L Ron Hubbard was the founder of Scientology, which uses the same mind control tactics displayed in right wing media. They were also instrumental in Trump's conception as the Moon Child, born on a Super Wolf Blood Moon on June 14 700 days before the founding of Israel, who he gave sovereignty over the Golan heights on its 70th anniversary, and was inaugurated aged 70 years 7 months and 7 days old. June 14 is the birthday of Osiris, Known as the Day of the Pharoah. Scientology uses the same tricks as Religion and Freemasonry, including isolation through strange acts (rituals/hazing) Gaslighting and intimadation, these can also be seen in right wing propaganda. Peterson's hero's journey comes from the transit of the moon through the zodiac, which is why they're called months. Blame the victim: The strategy is to make the aggressor's feelings the goalposts, everything is oriented around their needs and approval; a war of attrition using subjective language and logical fallacies such as incredulity, which amounts to disbelief, and acting as if this belief is something the victim is responsible for. "Look what you made me do" *In the context of child sexual abuse (CSA) the **_gaslighting_** is often used to convince the victim all the abusive behaviours are fine, normal and an expression of “love” (for eg Patriotism, Christianity, Service). It is used to ensure the victim doesn’t speak out about it and doesn’t fight back. It can also be used in concert with other **_grooming_** tactics like fear and isolation. Ultimately the aim is to legitimise a worldview that is detached from reality, and therefore arbitrary. Now they can call evil good and good evil* *>>Trivializing:* *The victim’s feelings are made to feel like they don’t matter, are **_unfounded_** or they are weak for thinking so.* (woke/ lib/ groomer/ unamerican etc) *>>Countering: This is quintessential gaslighting.* *They **_directly counter the memories and perceptions of the victim._* *>>Repetitive Questions: The abusive partner makes the victim doubt what they think or feel by asking the same question multiple times.* by doing so they preemptively assume the role of an authority by virtue of being rude. The shock value is the whole point, it's the politics of Terrorism. *>>Diverting: The abuser diverts the subject and puts the blame into outside circumstances.* *>>No true Scotsman, or appeal to purity* is an informal fallacy in which one attempts to *protect their generalized statement from a falsifying counterexample* by trying to _exclude the counterexample_ improperly. This is the Core of White Supremacist ideology. *"What Others Say" (Appeal to Populism)* The abuser tells the victim what other people "think" about the victim, the abuser and/or the situation on whole. Also known as an appeal to populism, the basis of Authoritarian Communism, and Cults, "if many believe it then it must be true" (whether people actually agree with the position and whether it is true or not). Bolshevism itself means "the Majority" and is no different to Fascist appeals to a "Moral Majority" Patriotism is a form of Authoritarian Communism. Other than direct contradiction and disbelief other strategies for Gaslighting include Begging the Question, and the use of Strawman arguments; refuting a reframed argument *different from the one actually under discussion* while not recognizing or acknowledging the distinction. Through the exercise of overwhelming a subject with countless contradicting premises and subjective terms a game of Pigeon Chess is played to deter criticism and break down a person's defences, until they no longer trust their own feelings, and rely solely on an outside source for direction. This is clearly demonstrated in the Maga cult, and is repeated in the convoluted dogma and magical thinking of Evangelism, New Age Spirituality, Ancient Aliens, and Graham Hancock. Always alluding to a secret to be revealed, but always in vague nebulous terms and undefined benefits of a far away place with no means to verify one way or the other. "Trust me bro" Effectively they all play the same role of an Enlightened Guru with deep understanding of life matters who can solve all your problems. It's likely no coincidence Reagan emptied the mental health services in the US, over half of those in Jail and living on the streets have undiagnosed ADHD. Auyawasca and Psychotropics are also a staple in brainwashing, as is telling the target they've been brainwashed and that the Guru has the cure, right wing propaganda uses this language heavily by flipping the script and arguing they are the victims, that they're the ones being silenced and cancelled, that they oppose child abuse while also defending it, that the deep State is out to get them, when they're the Deep State and always have been. Aleister Crowley was a big advocate of using Psychotropics to brainwash, just like the CIA, Opus Dei and MK Ultra. Brand and Trump both use hand waving and holding them outspread in a "settle" gesture called pacing. They can also stare at an opponent, "asserting dominance" to put the target on the back foot and unsure how to respond. Peterson does this a lot, along with rapid fire speech, and using an insulting or demanding tone. By using these tactics as well as loaded language (Newspeak) and inference (plausible deniability) only to move the goalposts and reframe when challenged. Trump's Mentor Roy Cohn admitted to using kids to blackmail politicians on behalf of israel, and trained under him alongside Epstein and Roger Stone. Trump's Jesuit mentor was Norman Vincent Peale, a 33rd degree Master Freemason. He was born June 14 during a Super Wolf Blood Moon to Fred Christ and Mary McKleod, he keeps a book of Hitler's speeches called _My New Order_ and uses it verbatim at his rallies. The Von Drumph family come from the same place as Hitler, Vienna Bavaria, Capital of the Holy Roman Empire. He paints himself Orange to represent Apollo; the Dawnbringer of Aleister Crowley's Golden Dawn. Jamal Kashoggi's Mossad brother Adnan sold Trump a Superyacht for Russian Roman Abromavich, who was also paying Boris and Farage for Brexit. Most of israel's govt are non religious Russians.

Björn Höcke is very popular in Thüringen, so I have no idea who the nice young lady has been speaking too? Höcker simply said in one of his speeches "Everything for Germany"! This man is/was a history teacher for many years and he had never (nobody else I have ever spoken to either) heard of this old 3rd Reich saying. This simply shows that the old parties, or as some now say "Cartel parties" are digging as deep as they can to stop the people voting for this party which is well on the way to destroying them. The AfD is also anti war and pro building friendly a relationship Russia to hopefully restore our Gas and energy problems not to mention many other things, for farming and industrial technology. The AfD is also quite anti EU and objects paying so much money in to have people from other countries telling us what to do, for example, Ukraine money and support, green deal, farming and industrial rules and many others. My hope is that for the next 10 months there will be so much trouble (this starts right now as the latest elections, looks like they have been tampered with to keep the AfD out?) that when we have our General election next year many more people will vote for the AfD because they ARE our only ALTERNATIVE! I do believe that one of the next big protests to take place will be the many people who DO NOT WANT NUCLEAR WEAPONS on our land, in our country or anywhere near us. We DO NOT want a fight with Russia, we want to be friends and trade with them before we completely collapse!

She's going to take the country into Moscow's sphere of influence...yay? Also economic nationalism in a global market and declining economy as an export nation is, well, not smart, I'll leave it there.

Sahra is still a Communist though! The reason we are in such a mess right now is because of the Communist behaviour of our European governments. Sarah is gaining a lot of votes that would have probably gone to the AfD! This is democracy, AfD and so far BSW are still Democrats, NOT Autocrats! How exactly did the reunification help Berlin and Frankfurt dominate Europe? I am genuinely interested in your opinion on this! Sahra Wagenknecht is NOT a nationalist, the AfD ARE nationalists.

You said something critically important at the beginning of these interviews that you can’t just disregard half of the population or even 1/3 of the population as racist xenophobic homophobic right Nazis. These are real citizens and even as you noted later in the interview some of these people are, migrants themselves or descendents of migrants. The difference is is that they were happy to assimilate. Assimilation is the key and I don’t know why we haven’t looked at history because immigration has been an important part of every country’s growth in population, but it has always been measured and controlled to allow for assimilation so that the pervasive culture, which is the successful one, can continue to flourish. The onslaught of millions and millions of people and then the lack of assimilation to the culture and I’m talking about all western nations by these immigrants has been a dismantling issue hence the backlash so these people; who some are far right but I think the majority are just regular people Who like the nation who like the culture who moved there, if they’re immigrants, for that culture are rejecting the elites proposal which is grounded in some utopian ignorance and honestly ignorance of the community’s experience actually dealing with these immigrants. I myself am of Caribbean descent and we happily assimilated and still maintained our culture, and see the negative results of this migrant influx.

Very intersting analysis. The German media suddenly started reporting and discussing knivings and stabbings constantly the past couple of weeks shortly before the elections: beginning with the killing of one police officer in Manheim ending with the stabbings in Solingen. Whether crime rates in general may or may not have soared of late doesn‘t seem to be the real issue, but it gave the mainstream centre parties (CDU & SPD) an incentive to rapidly change their stance on migration shortly before the election. It seems to me that the real issue here is not migration, populism or naziism, but keeping those parties in power that are supportive of US foreign policies. And guess what, the AfD and the BSW are not supportive of weapon delivery to Ukraine, and probably even worse the BSW on top of that doesn‘t agree with Israeli politics either. Honi soit qui mal y pense.

To think it used to be 'Red Saxony' prior to 1933 (and 1918). Also, note that the CDU only did as well as it did because Merz has been adopting policies which echo those of the AfD, which is 'setting the narrative'. There are also strong signs of rebellion against the federal government's Ukraine policy (perhaps also its Israel policy), which helps to explain the dismal showing of the Greens, who have been much the most bellicose party in the federal coalition.
