If you guessed "pissed her off even more" then congratulations, you're correct. I shut down. For a whole weekend I did not engage. Monday rolled around and I, politely, attempt to address the situation after me taking my time to sort my thoughts. First words out of her mouth were her wanting a divorce. The root cause is raising an entire social group with "You're a victim of the system", "You can do no wrong", "You're a princess", "Men are to blame".
