Tema #2
COUNTS/NON COUNTS NOUNS
Countable nouns are those that can be counted; they refer to elements that constitute a unit and that can be accumulated. These nouns can be expressed in singular or plural (apple, apples). Most nouns in English are countable.
Uncountable nouns, uncountable or mass nouns, are those that we cannot count because we cannot delimit them individually but rather they are part of a whole, they refer to something that only appears in the form of an indivisible mass (money). You cannot make plurals by adding “s”. They must be preceded, if they want to be individualized, by some word with partitive value (a piece of, a cup of). Many abstract nouns (happineess) are uncountable in English.
Tema #3
there are some many uncountable nouns
There are many uncountable nouns, which are nouns that cannot be counted with numbers and are not used in the plural:
Accommodation, Baggage, Homework, Knowledge, Money, Permission, Research, Traffic, and Travel.
Here are some things to know about uncountable nouns:
They are used with a singular verb. For example, "information is" and not "information are".
They are not used with a/an or numbers.
They can be names for abstract ideas or qualities.
They can also be names for physical objects that are too small or too amorphous to be counted, like liquids, powders, and gases.
Some nouns can be used either countably or uncountably, but with different meanings. For example, "We bought a new iron and an ironing board" is countable, but "People believed that ships made of iron would sink" is uncountable.
To indicate high quantities of something, you can use "a lot of" in affirmative sentences, negative sentences, and questions with countable and uncountable nouns.
To indicate an amount of an uncountable noun, you can use "much". For example, "I haven't got much milk".
To indicate an amount of a countable noun, you can use "many". For example, "I have many friends".
Tema 4
Plural en inglés
The plural in English only affects nouns. Nouns are used in the singular when they indicate only one element. They are used in the plural when they refer to something of which there is more than one unit. The plural of nouns is formed by adding -s or -es.
In this grammar section you will learn the rules for forming the plural of nouns in English and the exceptions that exist, irregular plurals, and words that are invariable in singular and plural. In the exercises section you can test your knowledge.
Tema 5

Child (niño/a) → Children (niños/as)
Tooth (diente) → Teeth (dientes)

Mouse (ratón) → Mice (ratones)
Goose (ganso) → Geese (gansos)
Person (persona) → People (personas)
Leaf (hoja) → Leaves (hojas)

En algunos casos, las palabras en inglés no tienen forma de plural o de singular, es decir, se usa la misma palabra en ambos casos. Algunos ejemplos son:
