The Protect chassis is a prime opportunity for a NAS. Also, I thought it was a known "fact" that a lower cost line of cameras are on the horizon that includes a reasonably priced PTZ model. These cameras would fit in the price categories of the Ultra AP and the new Express controller.

I'd be interested in a Unifi NAS so long as it is cost-effective and not ARM-based or the ridiculous N100. Also, the software needs to be robust or perhaps the ability to use other software.

Unfortunately I just bought a UNVR during their holiday promotion, I would have bought the UNVR Pro had I known I could have gotten a free G4 Pro. I am thinking about a new NAS, I'll have to wait to see what Ubiquiti does.

I think the NAS and NAS-Pro, will take over the UNVR and UNVR-Pro. The NAS-Pro is the same form factor as the UNVR-Pro so that's more likely. Add that to the promotion sale and I think we'll see a release soon.

They need to make a wireless (wifi 6e+) viewport. I have made my own viewport with a firestick 4k max gen2 controlled by home assistant for person detection camera focus but if they can make one that works like what I have setup, I'd buy it. Preferably I think making the Unifi protect app on android tv have more activities so you can directly control it with adb would be WAY better but as far as I have tested, in its current state, it doesn't do so well when you need to use keyevents to move around the protect app ui to get it to show the camera feed. It takes too much time for something like doorbell cameras.

I'd like to see Unifi stay in their lane and perfect more of their existing offerings rather than chasing down new product lines such as a NAS, EV chargers, etc. Further develop layer 3 functionality on switches, bring improvements to gateway/firewall, etc. before trying to compete in every arena. Of course, upgrade the Protect line but focus on the core products that will grow their appeal to more medium sized businesses (WiFi, switches and gateways)

UniFi NAS would be awesome. Synology shaking in their boots. I sorta feel bad for all the people who just upgraded all their APs to WiFi 6e, now that 7 gear is releasing. Seems weird to even sell 6 / 6e stuff

One of the biggest missed opportunities is an adapter to allow standard rack-mount equipment to fit the toolless mini-rack. Unfortunately, not everything can currently be Unifi based, example - a UPS. If that could be installed in the Unifi rack, they would gain a lot more purchasers.

I bought the little black box that will give me a landline. Although I have no idea what ubiquity charges for a simple line that will just be for old fashioned faxing. Att charges 10$ for a basic line. If it’s more than that well I’ll throw it on eBay I guess.

This is great! Unfi NAS I'm waiting for it!...cuz' I need one at home... something like a for ex. UDR Look... but it's a NAS...would be great... I mean...my laptop is in a huge stress seeing bunch of the documents in 10.000x folders trying to oragnize everything perfectly so copy & past for my PC looks like a horrible mess... PC get's confused too, like, WTF dude you copying from one to another folder then to another place, moving around things...😂😅 As of the Vid's Cody you're a king!... First stop for Unifi to look over what's new...👀😇😅 ya'know like a curious neighbour stalking other neighbours but it's in a tech world. I haven't bought anything from UniFi yet because UDM Pro and UDM Se don't have 2.5 or 10 giga switches. For small apartments and houses, it is not worth spending money on an additional switch to create a 2.5 and/or 10 giga network. For this reason, I am refraining from purchasing it and it is possible that I will stay with the ASUS router (AIO) while switching to WiFi 7. I'm waiting for UDM Pro/Se with a 2.5 and 10 giga switch. I give them time until July. When I come back from vacation and I will go shopping… 10 giga, rj45 with PoE!!!

The UDM Pro has 2 10G SFP+ ports. Yeah it's only 2, but since most people don't do 10G, it's not unreasonable for the average unit to not support it. You can simply add a 10G switch down stream. The world is still largely 1G, only geeks like us bother with 2.5 or 10G at this time.

@@W9HJBill Useless, no PoE, so you have to use an injecktor to connect the AP. In the comment above I meant 10 giga with rj45 and PoE. Regarding 2.5 and 10 giga: Most, maybe all new WiFi 7 routers will offer 2.5 and 10 giga with RJ45.

I'd love to see a dome camera and a nvr4 style nas box. I am suprised they don't have a dome option yet. And also, the older nvr4 boxes had an internal usb port that you could uitlize for your own boot media, they just need to sell that again.

I feel they need a new UDM Pro/SE. The current one is seriously lacking on 10 and 2.5 GbE ports as it only has 2 10Gb SFP ports and a single 2.5GbE port. Given how wifi 7 is coming out and pretty reliably can pass 1Gbps they need an update here. Your wireless network should not be bottlenecked by your wired one.

i just paid 650 euro for ds923 and 1320 euro for 4x 20tb exos, i hope they anounce minimum 4 bay and easy migrate tool from synology, i cant afford one more drives while reading seagate releasing 30tb hdds
