Now that we have NAS archive in Protect I am guessing we will probably see the release of the UniFi NAS soon.

They made racks, door bells, UPS, chimes, Nas drives next perhaps.

I wouldn't be shocked if they do. Whatever they do I'm just glad this is open to any NAS. What would have sucked would be if there was a UniFi NAS first and then Protect could only archive to UniFi NAS. That would suck so I'm glad that is not the direction they have taken. Not saying a UniFi NAS couldn't be amazing.

Good video. I do agree we need automation. For me it would be great to have it done based on trigger events and also time based. So when you hit lets say 10 days then move to the NAS and finally delete footage from the NAS after Y amount of days.
@AdamMuhle18 күн бұрын
Yeah, NAS archive automation would be great. I try to monitor my grandma's cameras, but her internet isn't great so viewing directly through the app can be frustrating. If I could have them automatically (if slowly) upload the triggered events to my server over a site-to-site, watching them would be so much easier. And I could do things like set a cron job that concatenates all the videos into one, creates a time lapse of the clips, etc to make reviewing them even more efficient.

Custom chimes, but still can’t bind multiple doorbells to multiple chimes 🤦♂️ Unifi has so many great things they add, but I wish they had a team that would fix some of the basic missing functions.

Wow all great updates! I dig the video format also, very quick and to the point! Great job.

Hey Cody, as usual very useful information and just the right length of video "pills". It'd be good if you would create 5 minutes how-tos, maybe part of an overall playlist. Easy for fruition, easy for future updates. Thanks 🙏

I like the updates, that Halo theme sounds like a kid recorded it in a bathroom though. 😆

Great video as usual Cody. I’m still waiting for Unifi to give us a UI to change the dog from the doorbell pro to an uploaded png or jpg. 🍻

Great video. Can we use Alarm Manager to find a specific face and send us an alert? We are regularly discharging people and sometimes they come back and cause trouble

BTW.. if you have two factor authentication enabled on your NAS, connecting to the NAS may fail. I had to user another account that was not 2FA enabled.

Do you think we will be able to upload a custom message to use with the AI Pro Enhancer? (to scare away people when its triggered...)

How to use External mic to speak trought the doorbell or the G4 instant etc?
@NabilMakhout16 күн бұрын
Does this mean I could automatically open my front door by looking at my G4 doorbell and let it recognise my face, then it opens my door so I won’t be needing a key??

I actually don’t know the wife bought it. What i was showing unlocking the door was Unifi access ( which I don’t actually have hooked up at my front door )
