AI Spec Comparison with U6 Enterprise: 🤖💻 Both the U7 Pro and U6 Enterprise devices come with unique features and share some common characteristics. Here's a comparison of both devices: 🚀 Performance: - U6 Enterprise supports greater throughput (4.8 Gbps at both 5 GHz and 6 GHz and 573.5 Mbps at 2.4 GHz). In comparison, U7 Pro has 2.882 Gbps at 5 GHz, 5.765 Gbps at 6 GHz, and 688 Mbps at 2.4 GHz. - U6 Enterprise also supports a larger number of concurrent clients (600+) compared to U7 Pro's 300+ clients. 📡 MIMO: - U6 Enterprise has 2x2 (UL MU-MIMO), 4x4 (DL/UL MU-MIMO) at both 5 GHz and 6 GHz, while U7 pro has 2x2 MIMO for all bands. 💫 Wi-Fi Standards: - U6 Enterprise supports up to Wi-Fi 6E, whereas U7 Pro supports up to Wi-Fi 7. 🏗 Construction: - U6 Enterprise has an aluminum enclosure while U7 Pro uses Polycarbonate and metal. U6 Enterprise is slightly heavier than the U7 Pro. ⚙ Connectivity: - U6 Enterprise also has a Bluetooth Management interface, which the U7 Pro does not. 🎁 Additional Features: - U6 Enterprise supports Zero-wait DFS with upcoming firmware, not specified with U7 Pro. Based on these features, it seems like the U6 Enterprise is more robust and capable of supporting more clients and higher data rates. However, the U7 Pro supports more advanced WiFi standard (WiFi 7). 👍 Your choice between the two should depend on your specific needs. If you need to support a larger number of clients and prioritize higher data speed, the U6 Enterprise would be better. However, if you want a device that supports the most recent wifi standards and is somewhat lighter, the U7 Pro might be your pick. 🤔 Please note that both devices have great features, and their effectiveness can hinge on many factors, including your specific use case, environment, and other network hardware.👌👩💻

Great to have 2.5 Gbps Ethernet on the Wifi Pro version, on this price point, but Wifi 7 is supposed proposing up to 5.7 Gbps , so 1 unique 2.5 Gbps will be not enough for covering the full bandwidth.

I'm hoping you can test MLO in real life! Not for the speed, but let's say you're on a call (internet) and you move out of the 5 (or 6) GHz range of the AP you're connected to. Your call will freeze and/or drop while your device connects to another AP. With MLO it could keep the call/connection going on the 2,4GHz band on the original AP, switch to 5/6GHz on a closer AP, and then afterwards move the 2,4GHz connection as well. If this works, I think this would be one of the more exciting features that users will actually feel a difference with. PS. I haven't read enough about Wifi7 and MLO to know if it support connection to two different wifi7 APs at the same time, but I do hope so!

Awesome, was waiting on this to add to a house since the U6 in wall was in the corner obstructed by a fireplace chimney so we had a lot of dead spots. Sticking this on a ceiling to hopefully fill out the coverage. The rumors had me hold off for a month and I’m glad I did. Ordered using your link! Thanks for the videos

@@MactelecomNetworks what’s the best way to add more PoE+ to a UDM-SE? I just relied I’m one short now. Just get a single injector? $800 for the Pro Max switch is too much at this point

@@SnowBob302 Given the 2.5 Gbps uplink, I assume it is not for the U7 Pro for the reason. With that, couldn't you just get a Flex with PoE++ power adapter input, then you would have 4x 1Gbps PoE+ ports? Would be far cheaper at $128 total... unless you are asking for the 2.5 Gbps connection to a U7 Pro and others, in which case, why not an Enterprise 8 PoE? $479. Connect it with an SFP+ and you'll have 2.5 Gbps available ports while having power capability.

@@SnowBob302 If you want more flexibility/expansion, as zapoqx said, Flex with a PoE++ adapter (or the USW-16-POE if you want additional ports) for Gbps or the USW-Enterprise-8-PoE for 2.5 Gbps. Otherwise for the most cost-effective approach if you're sure you won't ever need more, yeah, just get a single PoE+ adapter.

@@zapoqx I have two access points that are both running on GbE and have a Flex to power the Doorbell Pro PoE and the PoE chime. I need 10.5 W for the doorbell+chime so I need to power the Flex PoE switch with PoE+ and need two more PoE+ for a U6-Enterprise in Wall (ordered for 6E) and one third PoE+ for the U7 Pro. I realize the access points are only on GbE backhaul.

I heard it's painful; Bell would expect you to be incorporated before they would offer you the fibe business service. lol Rogers small business is easy to get, for me it was, and its better then residental, anytime I need a service guy they usually appear the next morning.

For most people, upgrading to Wi-Fi 7 won’t be worth it on its own. The average user won’t notice a significant difference in speed or performance since the current Wi-Fi 6 is more than capable of meeting most users needs. Also, TP-Link has the Deco BE95 and Archer BE900 which are Wifi 7 and came way before Ubiquiti released this.
@YKSGuy8 ай бұрын
WiFi 7's new Multi-link operation (MLO) should actually be a big deal once client devices start rolling out.. It addresses the major issue having several WiFi bands available but only using one at a time in previous generations. Also all of the stuff released last year is VERY pre final spec.. The Wi-Fi alliance JUST announced WiFi 7 certification as of today.
@MactelecomNetworks8 ай бұрын
Like other said the MLO will be great let’s hope it actually releases in February. Now yes most won’t need wifi 7. The devices you listed that came out a while back are very expensive whereas this AP is under $200
@yourpcmd8 ай бұрын
@@MactelecomNetworks indeed, the AP is affordable, however, you need the Unifi ecosystem to make it work, which sends the cost over the TP-Links which will work standalone. And let's face it, even if Wifi 7 takes off this year, other than hardcore network fanatics, how many will shell out for the switch? Yes, OFC you and I will because we're in the business, but clients on the other hand.....

Hi Cody other than the way he put it it was kind of harsh. My first thought was to soon especially since the Swiss Army knife only has WiFi 5. It’s totally contradicting. Yeah it’s fast but are they going to send Pixel 8 to everyone who buys this. The answer is no obviously. Some things Ubiquity does leaves me scratching my head. Please don’t block me you know me. I just thought this kind of release was a bit to soon. My opinion of course. I buy a ton of Ubiquity gear. WiFi 6 is the sweet spot for now. Anyways Take Care

lol I’m not gonna block you people can have opinions that’s totally fine. I don’t think it’s to soon imo The reason they sent the pixel 8 was so we could actually show the AP using wifi 7. I currently don’t have any devices that have wifi 7 in my network so I’m glad they sent it
