+1 for Teleport video. I wondered about it for the last couple years since moving to UniFi. Was on EdgeRouter prior to that for many years. I just default to doing SSH and port tunneling/forwarding as that is what my configs in various apps are setup to use when I am remote from my house where my UI gear is. 😊

Maybe it's different for the Teleport or OpenVPN versions, but there doesn't seem to be a way to write firewall rules for the Wireguard solution which I use. All my VPN users get wide open access to all VLANs no matter what rules I write in whatever chain. I'm a fan of Ubiquiti but the lack of control in the firewall rules makes me think I'm using an Apple product.

I completely agree with this. I've got a wireguard VPN setup and there's no way to stop those users from touching anything in my network at all! Come on! Ubiquity, you can do better than this!

Super nice Willie thanks, I have some question: after you made the vpn to your home network how do you manage to open the firewall to go to your internal resources. Because of the different vlan I cannot connect. Hope you can make a video about this one.

Hi, I have a verry specific question. Iuse the identity (license free vpn) and if the user remotely is connected to an subnet and he is trying to access an ip located to the same /24 but at the office the vpn doesn’t work. But if the sever is on an other /24 you can connect. However teleport doesn’t seem to care. Sometime you need to refresh de page or reconnect to the sever but it works. Thanks

On my UCG MAX I've connected with Wireguard server option, I can see my user in the "client devices dashboard" but no activity or traffic is shown.

could the Unifi VPN be a way to handle the Netflix household fun ? eg. your kid away in college. Asking for a friend :)
