Beheeyem's rating is criminal! Its not good in standard, but in expanded it could easily be viable deck. With D vally it can attack for a single dce and can pivot into wobbuffet. The combination of item lock AND ability lock at the same time is incredible and the only other deck capable of doing it is toad/garbodor and that deck has a worse damage output, cannot set up ability lock on turn 1 and drops 2 prizes. I've been testing it out and I find its able to destroy some common expanded threats right now such as pikarom, archestoise, turbo rayquaza, sableye/garbodor and most zoroark variants. It also can easily dispatch of some less relevant but existing decks like shock lock, night march, Buzzole gx and regirock simply because its locking potential is so strong. Expanded has a lot of support to help this card mew ex is huge but you also got stronger supporters and ball search making it much more consistent; you can even play musharna just like the old accelgor/wobb did! Personally I believe it deserves a 3 star rating if not higher.

the ratings are for standard so i don't disagree with it's expanded power whatsoever! definitely a sick build around for that format :D

@@OmniPoke Thats ok, I just find that its a bit misleading when great cards like beheeyem get rated badly since they are not good in standard and only expanded. Maybe next time for specific cards you could add a separate expanded rating?

@@kingwailord4143 honstely it's something i've thought of maybe just add an "e" next to certain cards if they stand out for expanded, but because i've personally been so far removed from expanded over the years (as a european not needing to play the format) i don't feel very confident in my knowledge to give them a fair rating

I think the community hoopa rating got skewed because it was really popular did well in Japan. I don't expect it will see nearly the amount of play over here because of the lack of ball search post rotation

I've been thinking about some fighting pokemon that we can tech into Giratina garchomp. The only thing that comes to mind is Marshadow Machamp for that revenge attack against Dark boxes/ Pikarom. Or even a possible black belt to pull of it's GX attack to do bigger damage. The potential is there I'm not too sure if it's worth the tech though.

@OmniPoke Another great video Joe. 😎👍 although I do have to say, losing acerola and max potion are a big deal in the format, so when your talking about some of these new cards is a good thing to keep in mind when rating some of these cards like for example weakguard energy. Yes it can save you from one hit K.O.'s but if you can't heal the "no weakness" damage off you, what's the point?? 😋😋 lol like for example a reshi-zard hitting a lucario/melmetal with weakguard energy and not being able to heal it off.

You can play beheeyem with the alolan ninetales from team up as a wall. It's much better than keldeo since it can't be shut off by power plant and has 1 retreat

Great set review as usual! Heres maybe something that could change your mind for froslass! Make a dedicated deck with shrine, and you hit 200 with hustlebelt even without weakness! Or instead of putting the full 7 damage counters put 6 and hit 180 with hustle and then just put 1 the following turn to hit 80 more cuz 20 plus 60 for hustle thats 260 without koing yourself if you know they cant do anything after the first or else just hit the full 200 i mean its not a bad non gx deck i think needs some teasting tho definitly

I’m pretty sure you need 30 or less HP before you attack for Hustle Belt to work

@@calebrogerson108 exactly you use the attack, put damage counters on, hustle belt activates, then you do damage calculation. The cards states put damage counters on, thrn do damage based on how many so again theoretically put 7 on, then you have 7 on so ypu hit 140 but hustle belt activates because ypu have damage counters on with 30 or less hp and hit 200

Yes night city completely removes retreat cost so you cant increase it

Why is it that the only cool type support we’ve been getting is fire? It’s honestly kinda whack Oven + welder + fire crystal + fiery flint + heat factory + Salazzle I want some better crazy stuff for the other decks. Weavile and that stadium is pretty cool but no baton and no dark patch still keeps it way underpowered behind the Fire and Electric decks

I think the giratina/garchomp tag team has potential if you build it right. I already have a theory deck craft list for it.

@@jamashawalker1 in short a combo of baby giratina, spell tag , and giratina/garchomp tag teams first attack if you have to. The strategy is to attack with a spell tagged baby giratina and set up damage and when the time in right, bench down the giratina/garchomp double psychic recharge, attach fighting energy and swoop in for the kill. 😋 it's the same strategy you would use in pika-rom where you pressure with zapdos first and then swoop in with the pika-rom for a full blitz K.O. here's a deck list 👇 if you guys are interested. I test MemMewtwo with Welder as a toolbox type deck with Dragonite GX, Reshizard, Blaziken GX, Lugia GX and Solgaleo GX. I love it!

Joe you're the best! One pedantic note: maybe call it "Community Plurality Rating" instead of "Community Majority Rating" since it represents the option that got the most votes but not necessarily more than 50% of the votes.

The effect of Latios GX's attack resides on itself. Channeler removes effects on you and your active Pokémon. Thus, the damage reduction effect of Latio GX's main attack should still work and prevent Tag Teams for damaging it.

i think going through types makes the most sense especially if you take the dark support for example during this set, so you can get my full thoughts on the archetype at once , usually in the fast review i take a shapshot of only the goodies

Now Joe... I heard you say countless times throughout this amazing video that, it’s too hard to search out non-GX basics. But you still play & praise Stellar Wish Jirachi in your latest List. Talk about high rolling, and I do get Jirachi will be amazing WHEN you find it, but if you’re not playing Red or Jasmine you’re basing when you get Jirachi on luck. Going into Worlds, with so much consistency loss, why would you play a Pokémon that’s out to getting them into play is based so much on luck? Keep up the great work

i mean in pikarom you probably see you're opening 8 cards plus 6 from dedcenne and sometimes 6 new ones from cynthia in the first place just to pivot into it to end your turn, but the jirachi is moreso used as a defence against stamp so when we do find it even late on we get value....
