This video is super indepth and I love it. Could you later down the track do a video on how your rated 4 and 5s are affected by the rotation in August? Id be interested to know what you think the rotation will do to this set.

I think Mismagius is a lot more playable than Electrode GX since it allows you to draw into those Beast Rings and Counter-cards. You even get yourself into Lt.Surge range with it. The fact that you can do this immediately while going 2nd thanks to Dusk Stone is amazing. As long as you keep reducing your hand size between each use of the ability I think it works. Will be even better once Reset Stamp is out.

My biggest surprise is dewgong. Like a rando pokemon that's never had any decent cards since base set is going to be a threat. That's awesome! I'm looking at farfetch'd next lol

Damn, I was going to vote but didn’t get around to it. Btw, the reason I didn’t get around to it is because it was too annoying to toggle between the poll and pokebeach to read the text of the cards on my phone, so I was hoping to get free time at work to do it on the PC. Please consider adding the card text to to the poll sheet next time. Haven’t watched this vid yet but I can’t wait!! Love your set reviews!

Great video as always although I'm a bit disappointed because you left out the kyurem from night unison which is gonna be a great attacker in Quagnag decks.

I think because Kyurem removes energy it has an antisynergy with quagnag (even tho they can get those energies back) because they are usually working towards big wailord or quag KOs in the late game!

First off, love the vids and the hardwork you put into them. They are all very informative and well organized. Now with that said I'll get to my main comment. Is there a reason to rate anything if everything gets wrecked by Charizard Reshiram and Blowns? Idk mean that in a rude way I mean that in a serious discussion. Those decks are so busted that if you're playing any other deck that isn't a basic non-gx 1- 2 energy attaching water deck it's almost an immediate auto loss vs them. With that being said is there a reason to play any other archetypes but those since they have almost no bad match ups.

Great review but you are SLEEPING on Whimsicott GX. Especially if you factor in the multiple fairy Charms and gardevoir/Sylveon gx

Why do I think Kartana is a solid troll card, I mean you can take a Tag Team GX that has 240 hp down to 10 and with shrine knock out.

And at this very moment kartana is a play because of cherrim makes the attack easily to power up again and again! :) one of my favorite single prize decks.

In my honest opinion, I think stall will add the araquanid from sm base which is immune to fire attacks

I love stall decks that wall and prevent damage... it's darn sad they printed a phoebe that let's vmax go through anything making stall both less viable in standard and in epxanded. :( although wailord stall is still legit today.

How would you play Quagnag? With a 2/2 line of Quagsire or 1/3 having more water? Im always afraid of pricing the fightning one on the matchups I need it

Is the meowstic not coming out in this set? I feel like 140 for 0 energy is not bad... 200 with choice band, 240 with kukui, 250 with shrine.... Also persion does some weird things with memory energy and certain pokemon.

Mismagius works in a quad TTGX deck. Even if you use it twice they still have to knock out 2 TTGXs

That is true, but as mentioned in the video for buzzphero, I think the way it will work in our standard will be very different from Japanese builds, the main drive to play quad builds is to abuse Greens search anyway a lot of the times and there are probably better basics/stage 1s to support the tag teams anyway (similar to shaymin for celesaur, ribombee for Gardi etc)

@@OmniPoke I personally think that Mismagius is a lot better than you're giving it credit for. You make the point that going behind on prizes is really really bad, but there are a TON of times where it is preferable to go behind on prizes in this format. Do remember that some buzzwole decks were experimenting with electrode GX to go to beast ring prizes even when the electrode didn't do anything. It's been seeing Japanese success, but who knows - you know a lot more about the game than I do and we will just have to see how it pans out here.

Quick note on lt surge: he says that you can play up to 3 supporters that turn, including himself. This isnt the same as 'play 2 more supporters.' So, he wouldnt let you chain lt surges into more than 2 other supporters.

Pokémon is a great game... but the power creep is ridiculous and makes expanded so hard to get popular due to it. They should make add on expansions to older sets from black and white and XY.. something like break cards that unlock hidden powers in the older cards... it would be huge for their profit too since older packs would be in huge demand again.
