I understand this is just what happens with popular pokemon, but getting seriously annoyed that all the same pokemon are getting double tag teams when there are 800 others available to choose from. Like com'on people. A teeny tiny amount of creativity makes this way more interesting than ReshiZard and PikaRom coming together to have a super child ReshiRom.

I thought with tag teams they'd do more to relate it to a deck, like gardeon, where both got played individually in a deck, so a bit irked by that coz it's just some stuff put together. Also, some of the artwork is utter garbage.

Am I the only one who feels like the Pokemon TCG is gettting worse? The Tag Team GX Cards are way too strong, and these Tag Team Supporter Cards feel like washups. This my opinion and I want to know if I'm not the only one who agrees. Please reply with your personal thoughts. If you agree with me, please let me know.

I think they are going overboard with all these tag team Gx's, but I understand you need to change the game to keep it interesting & I must say there is no better feeling then embarrassing these fully loaded tag team gx decks. With that being said I do believe and wish that Pokémon TCG online would make a format where non ex/gx/ break etc cards can play...maybe other cards would shine

The order matters. If you play Blue first then Lillie, the Blue's effect takes first before Lillie

Misty and Lorelei does have a set up discovered using the liepard that if you flip a coin you can use one of your benched Pokémon’s attacks (including gx attacks) because it’s a stage one you can use the vaporeon that makes stage ones also count as water types. So if you have the dialga on your bench that deals damage and gives you another turn, if you can recover misty and Lorelei well enough then you can get infinite turns and just win

Yeh one of our weaker ratings, in our defence we did put it on the core essential buy list and day 1 of release came out saying it was a 5* on our Facebook page The biggest issue was our pre set testing involved using Ns resolve which was the real bait

I think PipStoise could be a great archetype with 4 Kyogre from this set and Green’s Exploration to guaranteed power it up early. I also think you could play Arceus Dalga Palkia for an early GX attack and Choice Helmet to dodge ReshiRom with major healing to heal off any damage done.

I've been playing Choice Helmet in Blowns, the issue for me isn't him dying and offering 2 prizes, it's that he dies too easily. The reduction of 30 gives you so much more value than potentially giving up on less prize imo. I'm going to test, because quite honestly the tag teams are boring the hell out of me and it's a clown who's head explodes and kills things, that's great. But if you make room for tools, I feel like staying alive is way more beneficial than dying easier but offering one less prize.

the new alolan sandslash gx's water attack will make misty and lorelei card work a lot. it can kill everything in 3 turns, unless bench barrier mew

Thing is, the drampa from same set was a good pairing with ADP too, not sure if anyone did that? Same with ultra necrozma and alolan muk(to turn off ultra necrozma ability). I miss the format of a year ago. This stuff now is super broken and too much damage and urshifu vmax is disgustingly too good and the new gatekeeper vs single prize decks or anything that likes to use support pokemon. (I feel desks that use support pokemon require more intelligence and setup than just basic caveman "attach energy and smash" dimwitted 6 year old crap. Lmao)

With proffesor oaks setting, search for a mewmew, a reshizrd, and another basic gx that you use in your mewmew gx deck and use giovannis exile to discard the two pokemon and put mewmew in the active. also a lt surge would help for these two supporters

I'm super hype about Vaporeon, Vaporeon gx, glaceon gx. It can use Red and blue, Cynthia and Caitlyn, tag whistle and even the amulet. Also, I think Blastoise piplup goes in quagnag. Can come in turn 2/3 when there is energy on board and start swinging/healing.

Great work on this Joe! Always love your work towards the community. Keep drinking that water man lolAnyways... Arceus Dialga Palkia(Creation Trio) I've been testing this out ALOT and the most consistent way I've been attacking turn 1 is with Rayquaza+E-Switch. This way it feels very much like Pikarom in the way you can get your energy moved around towards your main attacker early. Just you aren't as combo heavy with the need of multiple Eswitches a turn+Koko+2 energy in the discard/Thunder mountain. Pairing it with Keldeo works well because of the prize trade Keldeo provides, putting a lot of pressure on your opponents non-gx attackers. The N's resolve route was super awkward and wasn't consistent enough to get attacking on turn 1 also the discard hurt more than helped. I'm going to test this out with the new CLAY supporter card because the deck I'm playing runs a ton of item cards and I might move some around to see how it goes.Great review as always and can't wait to see how the format shifts around

Getting back into Pokémon! Can someone recommend trainers and Pokémon cards I should buy singles of that you feel will fit well into the next meta once cosmic eclipse comes out? Thank you!

Dedenne gx and jirachi engine with escape boards. These are really essential to many MANY decks, cynthia and lillie for pulling, welder is a high rec if you want a fire deck. List goes on mate you need to essentially choose an archtype before any more top recommended can be made way to much variation on the top meta.

I’ve been watching a ton of videos and I really enjoy the super control decks where I can draw more and more and the decks that are less Pokémon heavy? Or the decks where it seems like you win extremely quickly by only having to knock out 2-3 Pokémon

On the WishiWashi, when do you check for KOs; before or after the coin flip?

You charge up the Piptoise with either the starmie from hidden fates or with kyogre from this set. If Piptoise has a choice helmet and u play lady (technically 150 healing per turn/splash maker), your opponent would need to hit for 180 at minimum to deal 30 damage to Piptoise. I was under the impression that the eevee and its evolution were part of our Feb set.

Stoise still feels a little slow in my eyes and at the end of the day zard, blowns, mew3 and new reshirom will have ohko potential that will really set them back (reshirom will prob play at least heatran and probably turtonator) Vs gardeon and mally it could be a threat!

Joe sleeping on that cottonee with lost march. Cottonee is natu with fairy charms, and with memory energy and fairy charms, Whimsicott GX can now be an invincible Lost March attacker with access to Toy Box GX. Mina or Welder lets you get the second energy on, too.

I am a fanboy of an early translation of Reshirom's attack, "Thunderflame dream." Now it shares a word with the 2 fire TTGX? I sleep This archetype was fairly quiet at Tokyo, supposedly only 3 of the top 76. I don't know if there are serious takeaways. A lot of top archetypes depended on cards outside standard.

Whimsicott means that Lost March can use Triple Acceleration energy now, I'd say that's kind of big as it means the deck now has access to the next best thing to DCE.

And yet another reason how intelion from cre is too damn good/broken and in my mind banworthy. Hate that freaking card. There is no downside to do the 20 damage per ability and it stacks with other intelions. NUTS. Volcarona, others have always had downsides or only 10 damage. It's bonkers and RUINS single prize decks immensely. (As if there needed to be yet another nemesis or roadblock to single prize archetypes, grrrr)

The current mew doesn't stop dragapult vmax which i still think is an incorrect dumb rule... and mew does not stop damage placed my abilities like intelion. We need another bench barrier but one with also more protection, but I would be satisfied at at the very least with something similar to prevent RS urshifu insanity and zeraora V and rakou amazing rare.. these cards are VERY strong (too much) where there aren't enough counters or protection for them which creates an imbalance in meta.

Noah Amse they are too awkward to use, buzz and blown need 2 energy attachments, buzz and beastite are irrelevant because you don’t take prizes in most matchups, and blown 12 damage counters assumes that after you stinger they don’t kill your nag

Peter Yu dont know how you play it but you can hit a pokemon then stinger with lusamine prism star in that one turn you have a chance to power that up or against a tag team you atack one time stinger let them take th knock out and return with counter energy

Man I really am starting to hate the yellow border that western cards get, they need to just give us the silver borders the japanese cards get already. So many of the full art regular mons look silly because of the yellow border.
