Thanks for sharing this information. One thing to clarify though, you said this happened when the 13 colonies were fighting the British. At that point it was not Canada but British colonies as you said. The underground railway did save lives, but it did not guarantee equal footing in society. This is certainly a blemish on the society of the day and unfortunate it would take as long as it did, but change would happen sooner than to the neighbors to the south and also help to propel change in the south. "Perfect" means complete. I get what you meant but thought to pass that along. Yes I agree Canada is not different from any other place on the earth; good, bad and ugly are present here just as any other place in the world. Best of luck in your creative works career!
