Ugh, most chiros are quacks. There are ones out there though that actually help and do a good job. Halfway through my pregnancy, by legs were coming out of my hip sockets due to SPD. Super painful and couldn't walk. Doctors wouldn't help me. A local chiro understood what was going on and would set my legs back into my hip twice a week so I could walk again. Still had to go after delivery for several weeks until the relaxin hormone was gone and physical therapy was finally able to start helping. Thank God for that Chiro! I was crying myself to sleep from the pain until the chiro started helping me. In contrast, labor and delivery was easy compared to having SPD. Never would wish it on anyone! Pure torture!!!

It’s a modified form of applied kinesiology “AK” He’s pressuring a point to cause a stimulus and then looks for a deviation in symmetry. If it brings symmetry, then adjust. Guy seems legit, just taking the long way around the bend and that’s okay. It’s all about the patient getting better.
@Zach-p4e6p Жыл бұрын
@@austinkling6984 Its not only about the patient getting better. Its about providing legitimate, effective, and honest treatment. If the treatment is too weak to actually move the bones or affect the body in any significant way (like this treatment, because cmon.... poking different parts of the body is not going to move anything), then it should be communicated to the patient that this treatment is therapeutic in nature and not scientifically/medically effective. This should also obviously change how much this service cost. From the cost of a medical procedure, down to the cost of a massage. Just because the patient likes it and feels better doesn't justify doing dishonest work. Every single type of chiro modality has failed to produce results beyond anecdotal "i feel loads better" results in trials.

Chiropractors are not permitted to use the title Dr in the UK (nor Europe, I believe); it's really not doctoring. ASMRers are though.
@demonichunter79258 ай бұрын
Genuine question then, why is this the case? Arnt Doctors jobs to basically fix ailments in an individual, no? Isnt there crazy practice and knowledge before hand on how to adjust properly ( cause you can really fuck someone up when a chiropractor screws up and at worst death) same with authentic doctors no? As i recall there a plethora more cases of doctors mis diagnosing someone abd actually causing more harm and even death in most cases of mistreatment correct? Seriously just curious is all lol.
@burntgod71658 ай бұрын
@@demonichunter7925 Well, I don't know if you have data on "a plethora" of more doctors diagnosing. But taken your assertion ar face value, you could argue the reason for that is there are thousands more doctors than there are chiropractors. Also, doctors are regulated, chiropractic is not to the same degree, here. Bad doctors are called out and struck off in the UK. Bad chiropractic are not. And chiropractic have caused issues - including death - by starting to diagnose what is not in their field: there are those who treat neurological issues, with no understanding of it; I've seen some on KZbin - U.S. ones again - giving out dietary advice. Dr is mostly a descriptive title, unless one has a PhD, but in the U.S., PhDs acquired from unaccredited places of "learning" allow one to use the term.
