Both Japan and the US were plunged in civil war at the same time, and the outcome of both wars would forever shape both nations in their doctrines and cultures.

There's a US Civil War love letter presented in Ken Burns film, Civil War. I wonder if translating and reading it in Japanese would convey the sentiment of that letter. Also, I wonder if it would be cool to have it read with old WW2 photos and films. You may have to re-write off the Civil War aspect. I don't know

I have read a fiery gospel writ in burnished rows of steel, "As ye deal with mine contemners, so with you my grace shall deal; Let the hero, born of woman, crush the serpent with his heel, Since God is marching on!" That is one of my favorite verses from the song. Something about it being sung in Japanese swells my heart. Thanks for what you do.

how much rewriting needed to be done to get the syllables to match up?
@nevergiveinКүн бұрын
In fact, the process of converting lyrics into Japanese does not take much time. Recently, when I listen to the original song while looking at the English lyrics, Japanese phrases spring to mind, and about 80% of the work is completed in no time. However, for songs where the syllables just don't fit, I need to spend some time reading old books or the Bible and wait for good phrases to fall from heaven. In my case, I make my own accompaniment, so that is the most time-consuming part of making a video... Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
