Union Pacific Challenger 3985, "3985 To Idaho" 1991

3985 to Idaho depicts Union Pacific Challenger 3985 operating a pair of excursions from Salt Lake City, Utah to McCammon, Idaho (that took place over the weekend of April 20th & 21st, 1991)
Since the Production of this program, UP 3985 & UP 5511 have been donated to Railroading Heritage Of Midwest America along with a number of other pieces of the Heritage fleet. 3985 & 5511 are currently undergoing complete restorations to operation in the coming months. This show was the final show produced by Lasting Impressions, a video company that operated out of Louisville, Kentucky that produced railroad videos from 1982 to 1991. I always enjoy seeing footage of Union Pacific 3985 in operation as this locomotive is an impressive sight to see hauling passenger trains at speed across the country. Hopefully Challenger 3985 will return to operation in the future after it receives it's required maintenance repairs in Illinois within another 10 years.

3985 has a smaller wheel diameter than 4014 not to mention. I’ve seen 3985 in action before and 4014 just got started pulling passenger trains. 3985 stole the spotlight in my opinion
