No auxiliary water tenders, no diesel helper in tow, and white walls! Too cool! Thank you for sharing this! I was fortunate enough to see her in her new home a few weeks ago!

Back when 3985 still had coal for fuel. Now she’s starting a new career with the Railroading Heritage of Midwest America.

It's interesting that WAY over 100 years after the first steam locomotive was built here they still use bells today.

Do you have any more information about De Luz Video?
@NickelPlatedProductions2 жыл бұрын
Dont have much further details on De Luz Video other than that it was ran by Ed Boulter starting in the 70s or early 1980s & stop making videos in the mid 80's subsequently fading into obscurity. De Luz Video didnt have a very long tenure as a video company (Im estimating that De Luz lasted maybe 3 or 4 years beginning in 1980 or so) so trying to find out more information is very challenging. I will be bringing up De Luz Video in my upcoming video on Railroad Lost Media.

Wouldn’t it be 1982 since all 3985 did in 1981 was a test run to LaSalle and back and double-head with 8444 to and from Sacramento (for Railfair 81)?

I just now updated the title & thumbnail to reflect the date on the video of 1982.
