The Amador top for knits from Itch to Stitch has a cute unique design with a curved seam under the bustline, dolman sleeves at 3/4 length and an easy to sew V neckline. It’s not a boxy, loose fitting top, it’s nice and fitted at the waist & hips. I have 2 versions to share and one of them has a sleeve extension hack to convert to full length sleeves.

I dont' think the seam is important. It's straight and has no shaping. You can fold away the seam allowance and cut it on the fold.

Yes you can extend the bottom pieces. The hips will be snug but you can make a slightly A line shape of you want. No need for a zipper, it’s a knit. It’ll go right over your head.

I have some beautiful batik knit but it’s only 20%.

It would be very uncomfortable under the arms and the whole sleeve. The hips would also feel tight and the top would ride up.

I’m worried that the v neck will be too low. I’m large busted and only 5’3”.

That’s why the adjustment line is in the bodice. You can also shorten from the shoulders a little.

Very attractive! GUSSETS: I wonder why pattern designers don’t use gussets any more. I imagine that small underarm gussets would be appropriate, (Like good quality yoga pants 👖 have.) Then, there would be more movement allowed in the sleeves, and the underarm seam might be able to be more fitted right at the underarm. (They put gussets in dance costumes.)

I’ve used gussets before but I have to admit that I don’t like the feels of a lot of seams under my arms.
