This is my kind of gifting, for sure. A nice note about books: When you mail them, make sure to tell the postal clerk that they are books. MEDIA ships for a lot less. It is slower, so allow extra time. But it's a thrifty gift.

Hi Teresa, I’m a new subscriber. I’ve been wondering how to go about giving thrifted items without offending people and I love these ideas! Thank you so much for helping me out with this problem! Just as a side note, when I find beautiful, good quality frames at a good price, I purchase them and add my artwork to give as a special gift for a loved one. Hello! I very recently discovered your channel. You do a great job producing such enjoyable content; thank you! I do have a question. How long does it take for the spray paint smell to dissipate? Wouldn’t want the recipient to get a whiff of paint fumes when they open their gift.

Hi! Welcome to the Peaceful Home!! 😁 I usually spray outdoors, or in the garage in poor weather. Within an hour or two I feel comfortable bringing a painted item in the house to dry thoroughly (mainly in the winter) I will usually do that in the evening and by morning I don’t smell anything. If it is warmer weather, I tend to leave the item out all day and I definitely don’t notice the smell by that point. It may depend on the type of paint you use and how sensitive you are to fumes. Leah, For some reason, when I originally read your comment, I did not see the last sentence. I would say, leaving your item to air out for a day or two should be sufficient. It is a good question though because once you wrap something up, it’s not going to get any airflow. Hopefully this is more helpful than my original response. 😂
