Week 1
Mon Introduction workshop, machines and tooling
Tue-Thu Working on mechanical movements with confidence
Following the first time right procedure
Finding defects fast during assembly and how to solve them
Fri Lubrication and recap of the week
Sat Visiting museum, enjoy The Netherlands!
Week 2
Mon-Tue Polishing/Finishing cases, bracelets and case backs (Green coat days)
Graining (linear and circular), satinage, combining, Tips and tricks
Wed Working on Quartz-, tuning fork- and electronical movements.
Thu Working watch crystals (mineral and acrylic), hands and dials
Fri Recap and certificate!
Price: € 6000,- inclusive two week stay in luxury Dutch rural farmhouse!

Oh my gosh, I wish I could attend this so badly. Not going to be able to make it this year, but I really hope this is just the start for these courses. What an amazing opportunity to work hands on with such rare tools, and study under teachers with such vast knowledge! Plus, imagine all the great cups of coffee everyone will get to enjoy! 😁 Seriously cool stuff though, really jealous of those that get to go to this!

Hello Kalle, do you plan in the future to also split courses like this in modules? The course program is simply great and of HUGE value but unfortunately, at least right now, it is a time and economical effort difficult to sustain in one single shot for an amateur watchmaker like me! 😅 For now I will continue to "absorb" as much as I can from your great videos! Thank you very much! Hope to see you in person some day.

This sounds amazing! I want very much to be able to attend but I'm a part time watchmaker so i don't have the time off from my day job or the money to spend two weeks in Europe. Is there any chance to buy just the course materials? I know it's not the same, but for someone like me it's all i could afford in time or money. Also do you think the course will be run again in the future?

I fully understand your situation, the personal help in the classroom is the real added value instead of our material. We hope to do more of these specialised courses in the future, but probably not in 2023 because of the work on our own watch.

@@ChronoglideWatchmaking I understand completely.. I'm trying everything i know to be able to do this. To be able to learn watchmaking from masters would be the opportunity of a lifetime. Even if i can't be there in the end, thank you for sharing your passion for vintage watches. I share that passion and learn something from every video you do. I'm just starting out on my journey but plan to restore watches for a living when i retire in about 7 years..

Sure Mark. We start with our own ETA’s and A Schild AS movements, but after a few days you are allowed to work on your own watches. We strive to get the maximum out of your own development. Looking forward meeting you in person!

Because there will be 10 people with a different background we start at novice level, in order to keep the group together and everybody will speak the same "technical language". I promise you, it will be very exciting!

I see there is recap and certificate the last friday, does the certificate hold any real world significant value ?

More and more watchmaking companies recognize the level of our training, this certificate is a proof of attending our course. The real skill of a watchmaker comes through experience an putting in the hours. That is something each person has to do him/herself. We help with the knowledge and development of those skills.

You can use your kitchen ate the farmhouse for Breakfast and dinner, we will arrange lunches. Grocery store is nearby, excellent restaurant is our next door neighbour. It is going to be an amazing time!
