"Biome Transitions" - Have different terrain types on one map. You can now live on the edge of the forest. (just try not to pick biomes with different water ponds, it will look ugly)

I reccomend that mod too! Its quickly become one of my favorite mods! Currently living on a savanna tile with a forest on the edge, growing behind some mountains. Nice clear killing fields + a renewable source of wood ~ it works so well with all biome mods too.

What I don't like about some things float mod is that it knocks over pawns if you're not careful and they will drown

Really like the some things float mod since my go to on defense is to use a river or other body of water as a barrier. Now I'll have to rethink it as all the good loot and leather raiders bring will just wash away lol

What do you do when the range skill of a pawn is so high that it blocks them from stopping to refuel recreation? I have this problem because as range goes up and if they have a range weapon they keep wanting to attack anything on the map anywhere. And then this causes mental breakdowns because they can't refuel 'recreation' and mood stuff.

I've never played rimWorld with mods so i wonder if there is mod creating some kind of Guard proffesion? i always thought that direct control over fight doesn't fit into inredect gameplay. So i wonder if there is any mod that changes it. for example building outpost where pawns will stay on their working hours and attack any enemy they see or smth like that

Raise the Roof is still actively being maintained. Expanded Roofing is not (and there's also like 4 different 1.4 versions running around). RtR is the better choice for a mod that does this.

Could you do some previews about best mods to have when you're about exploring, building, looting without fighting I mean if you're more about peaceful gameplay without risking the lifes of ur citizens and such things? I mean Im not playing fully peacefull but Im okay with the low level of attacks and dangers. I would rather have more of the rest. Not only structures that pretty much only fill a practical use only, some improved interactions with visitors and other factions/ people in general. More stuff to do that wont kill you. Im looking for adventure ^^ I struggle to find any mods in the workshop about stuff Im looking for in rimworld. I think I once saw a mod about exploring the map without the need to travel to questlocations. Good to stock up on goods you don't have at your place or you run low on, but unfortunately I not knew what its name was/is

Ehm... what a coincidence I just installed the game. Have played it long ago but I have very less memory about it soooooo Im pretty much new to the game again. I just remember I had trouble playing it because it was often very hard and exhausting and I hated that I kinda lost vilagers so much and veeeery easy so I was not much of a fan about fighting... Anyways I was thinking about downloading some mods this time and I wonder which could come in handy without making things even more complicated? Is there any ... lets say MUST HAVE MODS to improve the acctual vanila gameplay? I tried to find some mods I might think to be usefull but I struggle and have pretty much no idea what Im even looking for or what can be usefull. Any ideas?

Vanilla expanded mods all add balanced Vanilla looking features and weapons also pick up and haul,share the load and commen sence are all great quality of life mods that means you can micromanage less

Look. Look.. listen to me. I need to tell you something. The exploration mode mod sounds great and yes it's a vanilla common sense logic drain that this isn't in vanilla given the fog of war and RimWorlds foundational design of nothing happens anyway without the player playing the game (almost what difference does it make if nothing continues to happen dynamically across the entire planet.) Basically though.. with srts which also still isn't vanilla.. and rimnauts 2 plus dependencies.. this mod and the logic drains that it plugs are obviated very quickly because you have to launch 4 satellites.. unless there's a life cycle for the revealed terrain.. these mods hopefully the can work together could provide substantially more spam than every now and then you see a fomo asteroid (like rimnauts creator please explain to me where the steroids go after 18 hours?) And reason for comment about exploration mode aka fog of war mod and rimnauts was damn fog of war planet view would be cool and maybe the thing to do is have batteries on the satellites and they cost significantly more and need to be activated to scan the planet not just permanently be revealing the planet.

Those qols though.. also did a crashed ship where enemy faction pawns dropped mini frags.. I'm like there's nothing mini about those and gimme those. Totally sleeping in grenades. Also Jads mentioned the some things float mod and was like where's boats then? Couldn't find an appropriate boats mod still. However noobert made an interesting if intentional? boost for that mod by showing rocks in the stream. Perhaps that mod becomes a requirement of you can beaver the water way with stone chunks and let junk pile up like irl rivers in urban areas. And I'm sorry did you say railroads? That one is a must buy mod. Some mod i installed added resources outposts and haven't really touched that feature yet.. sounds like an excellent addition for side stepping the tedious micro'ing of caravaning to other tiles and faction settlements leaving ships for really long distance shopping and getting to moons and asteroids.
