I legit can’t wait. The Olympic year is the best for gymnastics fans. A new meet every few days, and everyone is bringing it! I am hoping for Simone, Shilese, Skye, Suni and Jade/ Jordan. I will be happy with either for the fifth spot, but I think Jade is going to come in like a ninja with a bunch of upgrades! I want her to do the triple double laid-out so bad!!

I'm pulling for Jordan, but I think any one of Jade, Jordan and Kayla could take that last spot to compliment that 4 person team above. It's about the floor scores, right now Jordan has the highest floor score of the three. Jade has to upgrade and get a 14+

In dressage there is a term called losgelassen. It means energy AND relaxation. Suni has that.

Absolute heartbreak for Skye! I just saw in the comments regarding her injury at training. Regarding this commentary... This was such a wonderful focus on all of the best to watch for at trials. I couldn't agree more with the highlights of all of the top contenders. I can tell that Bridget and I have the same "feels" for gymnasts. It seems crazy to think of Jade as an underdog, but that seems to be her place in USA gymnastics (despite an olympic gold medal on floor). I honestly think she us the most improved gymnast...kind of always. Her form and all around has just improved so much. Just watch her 6 years prior and it is clear. She will never be the picture of artistry, but I'll be damned if she hasn't made huge improvements. Hezly also has a real shot here! I also would just love to see everone hit! Tiana is my new favorite! I remember seeing first Kyla Ross then Laurie Hernandez at consecutive Pac Rim competitions and thinking " I love their gymnastics!" - and then they both ended up on an OT despite their "lack of difficulty" and inexperience. That is how I feel about Tiana! I especially want to shout out Leanne Wong and her gorgeous gymnastics and her ability to switch it up and still make everything absolutely stunning! The talent is SO deep! Best wishes to all of these fierce competitors and their team of people behind them! I really love KJC, she is the QUEEN!, but I also love Bridget's commentary ( probably because what hits hard for her is the same with me!)

Laurie Hernandez came out of left field, truly, she was barely a senior and unknown in the elite field.

there's about three to watch for this: Hezly, Tiana, and Josc.

What is just wow, is that a lot of gymnasts going to these OTs, will leave knowing its possible they can come back again in 4 years time. The longevity of gymnasts is like it's never been before. 10, 20 30, years ago, it was unfathomable that gymnasts would get more than just thos one shot at the Olympics. Back then, 18 was considered old, and aged19, you were put on a dusty shelf.

Does anyone know where Sloan keeps her 1 Olympic medal and her 2 world medals? I know that the wood beam behind her says she is a 2008 Olympian and has her 9 NCAA championship trophies, but does anyone know if she has ever talked about where her medals are and/or talked about that beam behind her?
