@@SurrenderNovena Hell could never be empty -- that would contradict the words of Jesus/Apostles. Jesus said that more would be on the wide path to Hell than the narrow path to Heaven (Matthew 7:13-14) -- the Apostle clearly shows un-believers being judged and sent to the Lake of Fire made for the fallen angels in Revelation 20:14-15 (Matthew 25:41,46). *To even suggest that there is way for Hell to be empty is to reject the words of Jesus and his apostles.*

My sister is a 3rd order Carmelite. Her husband was indifferent to religion, although nominally a Catholic. She prayed all her life for her husband, Then he got pancreatic cancer, and he was given a Miraculous Medal (by his son, although not a biological son). After that he said the rosary all the time, and he became a devout Catholic. Someone said, "Pray that you will get well." He said if I get well that would be good, but if I die, it is the will of God. He totally accepted the will of God. And he did die, but he had a holy death.

As my dad was passing away for a short brief moment before his death he said, 'Whoa there is more work for me to do as soon I reach the other side". And then he died. It felt like the air was sucked out of my house and my large 4 wick candle that was burning on my dining room table just stopped burning. It was the strangest thing I have ever seen in the physical world. The wicks didnt 'blow' out , the flames just stopped burning.. all four of them - not just 1. Please pray for my Dad... it is good to pray for the Dead! They are soo grateful for prayers!

It’s reminded me again of all those near dead experiences I had. From drowning 5 times (twice when I was little), the elevator in my apartment suddenly fell down 3 times, got hit by motorcycle twice (when I was little), a bomb blew in embassy near my apartment, survived Bus crash. All those experiences thought me one thing surrender to God and His will. The Will of the Lord always protect us and give us peace. It’s reminded me to stop obsessing (I have ocd, still working on it) and detaching from the world. Thank you again, God Bless you.

I always think of what will happen at the last moment of my life, true we should always start praying the Rosary, Mother Mary will envelope us with her mantle. I will also pray my confessional prayer, " Oh my God I am heartily sorry for having offended thee and I detest all my sins because I fear the loss of heaven and the pains of hell..." and then my Rosary prayer'. Thinking about this made my heart swell.

Ask and beg Jesus not to take you unless you're ready. I prayed that everyday for my husband because he did not hear Mass for many years. He took my husband after he received the Last Rites. The most beautiful words I ever heard in my life were from the priest after the Last Rites were given, "All his sins are forgiven." I now pray that for myself and my family.

I had that same fear! Last Saturday I made the best confession of everything I could think of and asked for a "whole life" absolution so that anything that pops up in the future has already been absolved. As I started my penance prayer, I experienced a brief burning in my heart. It surprised me. I didn't expect a physical manifestation of absolution. Since then I have been able to see clearly my daily sins and have been able to recognize them before - or after - I commit them. There is so much peace in my life now. I truly feel like my soul is as a child's. I highly recommend everyone get a whole life absolution but you can't hold anything back; you do have to confess all the gross stuff that you can remember. I wrote it down. Never have to go through that again! Praise God!

The first death in my family was my brother who died in an ambulance much to the grief of my poor parents. His anniversary is coming up soon. And though my mother died within a few years of his passing she had a much better death which was at home with neighbours saying the Rosary around her. At one stage she woke up and asked if she was dying, the last thing she did was smile at my Dad who had looked after her since a cancer diagnosis. But its his death that causes me the most bitter remorse and grief - in a nursing home and alone without any of his family with him. I have been asking for some comfort about this lately because I wanted to know if Our Lady came to him when he died as he was devoted to her. I feel the most guilt about the end of his life as he had been a good companion to me in many ways. Since lockdown I take my walk in the local cemetary where it is easier to pray. As I look over Galway Bay to the hills of Clare I think with great fondness of the end of the good times when he would alert me to the weather forecast on television.....so that I could plan for a swim in the Bay after work the next day. God bless you Daddy and thank you for your prayers for me when I had no sense ... and no friends.

Just like the father who asked Jesus to cast out the demon from his son after the transfiguration we must have faith in Jesus. This father’s faith wavered when he said to Jesus “please help him…if You can”. Then Jesus responded “you must believe…you must have faith!”. The man responded most likely with great emotion…”I do believe…I do have faith…please help me to have more”. We must plead to Jesus when we feel weak and never be afraid to ask for His help. We must also never doubt that God wants us to come to Heaven. St. Therese of Lisieux admonished her fellow sisters who believed they were going to Purgatory. Trusting in God’s Mercy means trusting that He will bring us to Heaven. It is never because we deserve it, it is because of His Infinite Mercy. So while striving to be Holy do not allow yourself to believe that you are destined for Purgatory, but hold firm to your trust in Jesus that you will be brought to Heaven. That is how the Saints retain their joy. Even when you make mistakes, do not fall into despair, but offer up your weakness to Jesus and Trust that He will embrace you and make all things new. May God Bless you all! 🙏🏻❤️

The surrender prayer can be very powerful and keep us balanced. I have a Divine Mercy image on one of my walls and a holy water font underneath it. When I get ready to leave for work in the morning, along with my other devotionals I say this prayer: "Good morning Lord Jesus, son of the Eternal and Living God, please have mercy on me a sinner. Dearest Lord Jesus, I surrender myself to you and I trust in you, please take care of everything, I love you". I bless myself with holy water and go about my day. This prayer has very special meaning to me as a motorcyclist lol. I check out when He decides.

What I found helpfull while dealing with MS, and this ties in to what you are talking about was meditating on Christs agony in the garden frequently. While knowing that he was on the verge of his passion all he could pray was "let this cup pass from my mouth but not by my will but your own". In all things in life and up to death in to eternity we must always be saying in our hearts the words of our mother "let it be done on to me according to your will". This is a sign of a heart that is contrite and ready to be moulded by the father. The longer that we cleave on to our own will and fail to submit to the will of the father the longer and harder our sanctification will be.

You mentioned that we need to let go of our preferences and accept that things may not go our way because God is in control. It reminded me of Father’s homily today. He said that when we sacrifice our will and most cherished things to God’s will and plan for our lives, he gives it back in a much more beautiful and perfected way like how he did for Abraham. He asked for Isaac but God gave him Isaac back because Abraham was willing to give up the most precious thing in the world to him because he loved God more and God blessed Abraham even more abundantly than he already had.

Love your videos. I don’t usually comment but feel compelled. What you said about praying for a mystical experience brought to mind Roman's 9:24-25. In St. Louis de Montfort's Prayer to Mary he says, "I do not ask thee for visions, revelations, sensible devotions or spiritual pleasures"but ...'no other spirit, soul, or heart but thine to love God...' The vows at the end were beautiful, brought tears to my eyes. God bless you! 😊

I agree that we should not rely on those in our daily life but rather the sacraments and the simple life of prayer - sometimes, especially to face death with courage we need something more - consider the readings from this Sunday - Jesus showed his the closest apostles a mystical experience - the question is why? So that they could endure the cross - does that mean we should have mountain to experience every day - no - that’s why when we ask - we always ask “as God wills”

I loved watching the women become spouses of Jesus. I recently while in prayer was told of the Mother of the King is chosen to be Queen. I looked this up and in the Old Testament , it shows that Jewish Kings chose their Mother to be Queen. They have so many Spouses, but one Mother to choose to be His Queen, the peoples Advocate. Mother Theresa of Calcutta offered up everything to Jesus. Mother Angelica of EWTN also offered everything to Jesus to be His spouse. I have always prayed and desired to tell protestants of this, so they could see Jesus being a Jewish King chose His Mother as our Queen, its in the Bible .....Love Her, Thank Her for being OUR MOTHER, God bless.

As a former protestant the amount of proof that we have somehow protestant will still deny it. Like we were blind, and the heart refuses to believe. When I asked God to show me the truth He sent me His Mother. Please pray for our protestant brothers and sister that Scared Heart of Jesus will open their hearts and minds to the light and truth God the Father.

I am also upset when protestants call Mary our Heavenly Mother ''regular women'' and they believe that she is born with sin ? Then ? If she is born with sin ?- then Jesus is born from sinful body ? They don't understand JESUS is GOD and GOD can not mix Himself to be born from sinful body ? For me they twist so many things and make no sense ? For me they are man - made religions , but not churches ? BUT I love them , and we have to love them and may be some day they might return back to CHRIST Church ?

@@antonl3512 Exactly how many times did Jesus, after the resurrection and before he departed, tell his followers to pray to Mary? Or even say anything special about her? Kinda weird that he never mentioned her at all. Maybe it’s actually better to pray and put your trust and hope in Jesus alone, since he is divine and Mary is not. Catholics can get far too distracted by devotion to Mary rather than the one true God, at least IMO. I was born and raised Catholic and practiced for 25 years, but never felt close to Christ like I have since leaving the Catholic Church and depending solely on Jesus. He did not give any other principals in his Word, in fact he taught us to pray to “Our Father..”. Remember that prayer? It’s the one you say once for every ten prayers to Mary in the rosary. Doesn’t follow Jesus’ example at all.

What a blessing I was directed to your channel! Definitely subscribed. I hope it is not too forward of me to share my favourite prayer, which I was reminded of when you delivered your message. It's called "Prayer of Abandonment" by St. Charles de Foucauld. (I say it every night. May it bless you as it blesses me. Thank you!) Father, I abandon myself into your hands; do with me what you will. Whatever you may do, I thank you: I am ready for all, I accept all. Let only your will be done in me, and in all your creatures - I wish no more than this, O Lord. Into your hands I commend my soul: I offer it to you with all the love of my heart, for I love you, Lord, and so need to give myself, to surrender myself into your hands without reserve, and with boundless confidence, for you are my Father.

I went through a particularly hard time a few months back. I prayed the Surrender novena over and over. When I got to Day 9 I'd start over. That went on for at least 2 months because all I could do was Surrender it to Jesus. Everytime I'd start slipping to despair I'd pray, O Jesus I surrender myself to You take care of everything, over and over until calm. Thank you for mentioning this on here.

I think I am realizing the importance of trusting God and not fearing death. Even though I must always strive to work harder to improve my trust in him more and more as I go through my life. I don't really fear death so much anymore as I get older. In fact, I find myself looking forward to it with the hope of being in Heaven. I'll spend time in bed imagining how great a place Heaven is. I hope I will live a very long life because I do enjoy my life with my wife. Telling us to accept whatever God has in store for us is really good advice. Thanks a bunch!

A good book on this topic is How to Avoid Purgatory by Fr Paul O’Sullivan. The author has includes the following prayer (for which Pope Pius X granted a plenary indulgence at the hour of death for those who say it after Holy Communion): “Eternal Father from this day forward I accept with a joyful and resigned heart the death it will please you to send me with all its pains and sufferings.”

I always think of St. Therese's example and just constantly beg Jesus to remit my sins or let me suffer enough on Earth. I also say the prayer of daily regrets. If I get scared, I always remind myself that he is kinder than we give him credit and it might hurt him to think he we're afraid of him. I just know if that priest who chose a week in purgatory over living another year should've thrown himself at his mercy.

Eternity is at stake from choices we make in our infinitely short life. Our enemy draws us into the glitter and pleasures of this world making us forget it is all transitory. In Jesus we must focus our gaze, he is the beacon that will steer us away from fatal rocks and safely into his shores.

Thanks for making this video. Its squarely answering a question I've had which is if you still go to heaven even if you resist the process of death- yet have lived a virtuous life. I think going up to the metaphorical point of no return periodically throughout our life in any manner, and willfully walking through that door, will get us somewhat prepared for death too. I've had that feeling a few times as I conquered demons fears etc, and have learned to walk through better and better each time. It still feels like jumping out of a plane, but there is an inherent thrill and enjoyment of it if we do it willingly and knowing that God is our parachute. God bless you!

Not on a regular basis, but you would be hard-pressed to find a saint that did not first have something supernatural happened to them at least once in their life, but then let them to become the saint that they were. Look it up look up your favorite saints, and you will see not that we need all the time, but sometimes just once in our life, we need that special moment of God’s grace.
