I am sure the same was said about Jesus Christ. I would like him to make a video that differentiates venial from mortal. At what point it crosses over from venial to mortal. Yes, please! I remember the Communion rail. So beautiful, and meaningful. Please bring back the Communion rail. Here in America, we do not know how to be reverent at all. This Communion rail form of servitude, humility, and submitting our will to God's Will, this heals us and puts everything in God's right order. It is right and just. It is a sign of gratitude. If it be God's Will, I pray for a return to the Communion rail. Over fifty years, I have watched fellow parishioners try to show reverence, when they grew spiritually and began to understand. Some bow, some genuflect, some kneel. For the elderly, the Communion rail is a compassionate opportunity for them to show their desire to be in a state of reverence when receiving our Lord. Thank you, Father, for this talk. I pray that all our Priests be not afraid to teach us, who thirst for a deeper understanding of our Faith and how to live our Faith. To our dear Priests, please do not be afraid to teach us even if it seems remedial. The traditions, teachings and culture of the Church have been disrupted, or breached and partially destroyed, as a dam might be in torrential, prolonged rain. To repair this means teaching. May God Bless you, and all our Priests and Seminarians, and all our Parish families. Amen.

Thank you Fr. Ripperger! 15 minutes of total silence after receiving Our Lord Body Blood Soul and Divinity in the Most Holy Eucharist is the most beneficial thing a Priest can do for his parishioners. What a gift and what a blessing to find a Priest that will do that. Tell the choir to be still. Be still, be quiet, and know God, and let the parishioners experience His still small voice in their hearts during the 15 minutes of total silence. After all, receiving the Eucharist is receiving a heart transplant - His Divine Heart tissue is found in every Eucharistic Miracle. Parishioners need both the silence and the time of 15 minutes to listen to His still, small, voice.

Once I caught two men talking on the phones before mass. I got up and told them to leave and talk in the vestibule or outside. You have to do it. You are actually doing them a favor. Talking in a church while people are praying is a venial sin. I pray the precious blood devotion everyday. There is a prayer in the book to make reparation to Jesus for indifference that people show in His presence. Yes He is in the tabernacle. I can feel Gods presence when I walk into a catholic church. Just start doing it. The disrepect for Christ in catholic churches is not acceptable. If people had a real spiritual connection with Jesus, they wouldnt dare do the things they are doing.

Thank you so very much, Fr. Ripperger. You're my favorite priest/exorcist. I so strongly wish that I could kneal to receive the Eucharist. My knees won't allow it. I've even had 1 replaced. What a mistake! May God surround, embrace, and bless you.🙏
@mariekatherine52389 ай бұрын
I have the same problem due to a form of arthritis without knee replacements. I might be able to get down briefly, a few seconds, and receive if the priest is right there, but if not, I’ll fall over sideways. Either way, I’ll need two strong men to get me back up and half drag me to the pew. Obviously, I do not kneel for Communion. I’m thankful I can still walk with a stout walking stick or walker. I use the walker for longer distances and the stick at home or in church, short walks on even surfaces. What I do is stand to the far left or right of the Communion rail and bow my head. Since I also wear ankle brace, I think it’s obvious to the priest why I’m not kneeling. I receive reverently on the tongue, being sure to lean in enough so the priest doesn’t need to do gymnastics. I go to Confession privately, that is, by appointment because I can’t stand on the line or kneel in the confessional. My church is very old and there isn’t room for any type of chair, plus, there are steps without railings to get up to the confessionals. The only way I can get up them under my own power is to go up on all fours and go down on my bottom like a toddler, not exactly reverent or dignified! The church is old and on the historical register, definitely not set up for those with mobility issues. The is a ramp around the back that is very steep, and once inside, there’s a long walk through a hallway connecting an building of offices, another ramp into the church itself, also steep, and then completely around the back of the altar to yet another ramp at the back (or front entrance) into the church. The pews and aisle are narrow, so if more leg room is needed, there are six folding chairs that can fit behind all the pews. If you can’t sit on a folding chair, the only other way is to have someone bring you in a narrow wheelchair or literally carry you inside and set up a suitable chair in place of the folding chairs. In times past, disabled people were pretty much homebound or in an institution and just didn’t attend Mass unless a priest came periodically to the institution. One of our priests makes home visits, not for Mass, but for the Sacraments. He came to my house when my father was in bed with his last illness for Sacraments and then Last Rites. I like he came in person, not just a eucharistic minister, usually a lady with the Pix in her handbag like the novus ordo parish.

The Basilica of St. John the Baptist Savannah, Ga is pictured from 1:19:44 to 1:20:43 minute marks. That is my diocese. The TLM was offered there for decades once a week until it was moved to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Savannah because of directive from Vatican.

Thank you, Fr Ripperger, for expounding the truth about the traditional Mass. So clear, succinct and passionate about Church teaching.

I grew up in the old rite and we never got the Precious Blood. I was gone for many years and coming back in fits and starts as I had to get over my culture shock: Precious Blood, Communion in the hand not by a priest, people talking in church, no altar rail, which means you can't kneel is you're old or have bad knees, and women on the altar. The only force that really brought me back was Our Lord Himself coming to fetch me out of my sinful life. There is no trad mass here, but I found the closest thing and just go there for jesus and Our Lady and the Eucharist.

wow!!! he needs to come to Our Ladys and OKC and talk to the entire parish... there are so many distractions it's amazing I just assumed it was the negative energy trying to stop me from taking the Eucharist and getting my full potential from it. I notice sometimes the priest is bothered by all the movement and speaking. I've done everything possible to make it more comfortable for me but I still haven't gotten that comfortable with all the distractions I'm going to start some preparatory prayer this week before I enter the church, i always kneel and ask for forgiveness immediately... because adoration is so much quieter plus only a few people, and you can feel the spirit moving so much stronger....

Fr Ripperger. I know you likely won't see this but I felt the need to share. It was a shame bringing my Atheist Ex husband to Mass. One time he went up to accept the Eucharist after I went back for RCIA (half way through mass they make you go to RCIA Meetings) and he wasn't in RCIA so he stayed. So he took the Eucharist and didn't even consume it. He shoved it in his pocket and didn't tell me until we were getting food in a drive-thru. I couldn't believe the amount of disrespect to our creator. I had felt the need to tear my veil and wrap the Eucharist in it. And it was crumbling apart I felt horrible since I couldn't eat the Eucharist yet i wasnt baptized at that time and I went to drive all the way to return it back to the church. So I went but no one was there besides cleaners, but they showed me to the room where there was a pipe going into the ground. It was soaked in water then put back into the earth. I hope I did the right thing. I'm so glad I left that person. They are so disrespectful on purpose. I told him every time to never accept it. You can go up and cross your arms for a blessing or stay seated. BTW I swear during one Mass I seen the Eucharist turn slightly red. I'm not sure if I was hallucinating or not but I believe in the true presence

At my parish's 40 hours adoration, the school children came in along with their teachers and had no idea that they were to genuflect on 2 knees during Exposition. Teachers included. We have such a far way to go! Thank God for priests like Fr. Ripperger who are educating us! God bless you all!!

What a waste. Beside the elderly and disabled that can’t kneel. The rest should pay homage by kneeling to receive Holy Communion on the tongue.

Thank you very much for posting this. I've questioned a few things in recent years, and Father answered them. I'd rather have a priest be completely honest with me no matter how harsh it may sound at times than give me sugar coated words. Just like a doctor shouldn't tell me that everything looks good when I'm 45 lbs. overweight.

All i can think of is how FAR DOWN we have slipped....in reverence of God, sacraments, etc. I think i am doing well, but then i listen to this....i put off saying the Rosary instead of praying it right away, it's ok if i let daily Mass slip once in a while, etc i NEED to get back, as best as I can, to spiritual discipline because it is OWED TO GOD! thank you Fr Ripperger for beinging this to mind! i have become spiritually flabby!

Concur with this lady, work in a similar volitile situation. Everything she says in this is 100%.we work with the forgotten, if that can be discerned appropriately. Essentially, we deal with a lack of love in peoples lives, that may sound silly though its true. Thanks for this ❤️
