I found this prayer online and I pray it as I sprinkle holy water: O God in Thy mercy multiply these drops of holy water as there are as many souls in Purgatory and allow them not to feel the pains of Purgatory as long as the moisture of holy water is present. Refresh these souls and bring them into eternal happiness with You in heaven. Amen.

Every time I dip into Holy Water, I first shake a drop of water onto the floor & say ‘for the poor souls’. Been doing it for years after reading something about it years ago.

The same but I do it the other way around. First I make the sign of the cross and then shake my hand with the intention for the Souls in Purgatory 🙏🙏🙏 I have a stoup in my house near the front door, and we use the holy water before leaving and after coming back home. It's a very good habit to practice ❤

I recommend to everyone the book All Souls Forget Me Not. Its full of specific wonderful prayers, even ways to pray during Mass or offering Confession for the Holy Souls. Its fantastic. I take it with me all the time, since my mum passed away 😢🙏🌹❤️

Every day after my prayer in the morning and in the evening I springkled holy water with this prayer " O God ,in your Mercy multiply these drops into as many drops of Holy Water as there are souls in Purgatory, and allow them not to fear the pains of purgatory, as long as the moisture of Holy Water is present". Taken this prayer from the booklet "Read Me or Rue It" by Fr. Paul O. Sullivan,O.P. Prayer crossing ourselves with Holy Water: Sprinkle me, O Lord, with hyssop, and I shall be cleansed; wash me, and I shall be made whiter than snow. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

Grew up with the lighting of blessed candles, burning blessed incense and Palm Sunday palms for relatives who have died. We’d do this on all souls, anniversary of their death, other times as well. They would be lit all day. Mass too was offered for their souls.

Conditions for a plenary indulgence (along with the devotion or act performed): 1) Receive the Eucharist the day the indulgence is performed. 2) Sacramental confession twenty days before or after the day the indulgence is performed 3) Detaching completely from any affection for sin, even venial sin 4) Prayer for the intention of the Holy Father for the month

Thank you for the video! I myself make the Sign of the Cross with Holy Water and say For the soul of CONSUELO MONTANER NAVARRO (my mum's name) in the Name of the Father and the Son... " Then sprinkle water. Also "Dear Lord please multiply these drops of Holy Water so it benefits All Souls in Purgatory". Also regarding candles, Catholic have been doing that for deceased relatives for centuries. Father Faber recommend making the Sign of the Cross with the "in the Name of the Father..." many times a day saying for the Soul of... Or for All Souls in Purgatory etc

pls try and look up the PRAYERS TO THE MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD OF JESUS booklet. there is a chaplet therein where wounds/blood in Jesus' right and left hands(and feet) AND IN HIS SACRED SIDE are mentioned with the specific intentions. i wish i could send the entire booklet one page at a time but i dont know how.

But to get either partial or plenary indulgences you have to go to mass for each day you want one. People sometimes can't go everyday only on Sundays maybe on Saturday.

But we can go to Mass via the internet-or EWTN has Masses on TV at 0700, 1100, 6.00 pm, and 11 pm. Plus many Masses come from many other places, Fr Mike Schmidt, Divine Mercy Church, etc. even during Covid we had absolutely no excuse!

Could someone help me understand, if we offer everything all the time for the souls in purgatory do we never then offer for conversion of sinners, or do we then ask the souls to pray for that intention because we offer everything for them?

I tend to have a preference for offering all for the Souls in Purgatory first - since you know it always helps them and then for the conversion of sinners - but even better - praying for the Souls exclusively and then putting THEM to work for the conversion of sinners

As long as you start making note that when we pray "for the intentions of our Holy Father, Pope," it's praying for something objective for papacy, something determined by Church, laid down long ago: - The exaltation of the Church - The propagation of the Faith - The extirpation of heresy - The conversion of sinners - Concord between Christian princes - The further welfare of the Christian people These are the "intentions of the Sovereign Pontiff", meaning papacy, not of a current papal claimant, for which we pray as a necessary condition for gaining plenary indulgences. @uniquelyMary Also, an advertisement for demomic Kundalini Yoga came on your video, just f.y.i., in case you have any control over advertising.
