actually central defenders usaully have to ping the ball across the pitch more than midfielders because since there farthest away from the attackers, in order to connect to their wingers or there strikers they have to ping the ball 60-80 yards depending on the field size

I tried hitting with the spot that you suggest but I got better results when I hit the ball with the instep and the "knuckle" of the big toe. I got more straight and better back lift on it this way. thank you for all of the tips.

Tried for one year never could do it until today , technique is to swing the shooting foot across right to left for a right footed all through the left hip, don't try to hit hard ,just swing your leg horizontally ,full swing ,don't stop.i found it very touch to get under the ball and hit from the top bone because the ankle has to be at 45 degrees
