I remember asking this question to my dad, as I thought anyone could just buy world class players to make a world class team. He responded with saying that think about how I played under a previous favourite manager and a hated manager and it instantly made sense. I have found that when I play football with a manager you don't really care about we just go out and do our best and will not want to implement what they want, where as a manager that you solely believe in, there is a much higher chance every person goes out and fights for each other to repay the coach for the faith and passion they have put into them individually and as a team.

When I become a manager one day I will be very similar to simeone. Playing with a team that play for each other and not for themselves. As jurgen said even if u are average someone like Henderson even if u are not the best u can still come into the team if u play for the badge bc then u will never stop fighting and winning.
