For anyone experiencing the issue where TrackableType is not being found, the API has changed since this video (no way! what a surprise! :) ) simply include using UnityEngine.Experimental.XR at the top of your script.

ARSessionOrigin doesnt have Raycast function anymore, now you have to add "ARRaycastManager" Component to your ARSessionOrigin object. And then the code will look someting like that: if (sessionOrigin.GetComponent().Raycast(touch.position, hits, TrackableType.PlaneWithinPolygon)) { Pose pose = hits[0].pose; Instantiate(prefabToPlace, pose.position, pose.rotation); }

try including preview packages (under advanced tab) when searching in the packages manager

Followed this word for word to the plane visualization, before adding the object spawning, and all I get when I install and run the app on my phone is a blank screen. Tearin my hair out trying to figure this out please help.

I think that´s my cel compatibility with google´s ARCore, but it might get me some warning... AND I would like to test image recognition with the camera on my pc.

What is the best way to port a basic 3d game to an AR game? Should I put all the scene objects in a prefab and then instantiate It in touch pose before playing? Thanks!
