Which airplane is this?777-200, 767-400ER. The issue with seat 1 is you are close to the restroom if this is 777-200 so everyone in Polarius must walk pass to use thr restroom and you have noise from the air hostess since you are right by their area and you will hear dishes, cups and all of the noises coming from the air hostess. If this is 767 400ER, you do not have a bathroom up front but you will get noise from air hostess.

In seat 1 your cabinet is on the aisle side blocking the coming and going of people, also with the noise cancelling headphones provided by United you hear absolutely no noise when you have them on. So unless someone has issues with wearing headphones then seat 1 is not for them. Also note the even number seats like seat 2 you sit closer to the aisle which is an issue with people walking by. Odd seats are positioned away from the aisle. Trust me we had those same thoughts but it's not what you think. Thanks for watching!

@AA_Travels My family and I fly on United Polaris very often. We just got back from Paris on Tuesday and flying out to Rome on Polaris next week. Row 1 for me is being too close to the air hostess and them talking, running back n forth, dishes. We are usually in row 5 or 7 and I can hear dishes even with the headphones on and tv volume up high. The headphones do not cancel sound 100%.
