I believe the board knew we needed a LB, but it's impossible due to the situation we are in. We had to sell to buy. Everyone that we bought this window replaced the same position. Except Yoro, who is seen as a rare opportunity. Let's hope they stay fit this season so we can shift them in the next summer!

Owen loves to pretend he has no bias and is balanced. Yet you can 100% tell when he likes a player vs. when he doesn’t. Dalot I'd guess. Would be a little unfair on Dalot, seeing as he's being played out of position to cover for Shaw to only then lose his place when Shaw comes back. Which is why we should have got a LB in the summer (who can can also cover at RB) who can compete for the LB spot (and potentially take that spot if Shaw is sold).

@@kayflow9023 would love to agree with you but i don't, Martinez is a better CB but at LB i'd rather have Ake as he is more mobile. I've seen Martinez enough at LB and never seen a overlap and can even get run at CB. Also and more importantly Ake isn't a starter at City and probably their 4th CB. I wouldn't start Martinez at CB over Stones, Akanji or Gvardiol. From your reply it sounds like you have only seen Yoro play for our club and think i'm the same. I watched him a few times last season and i said more chance not that he would. My statement stands

Guy has been out for nearly a year has one bad game and he is a shit defender lol. Not sure if you are aware but this is real life not fifa and everyone can have a bad game. Any player can be aggressive but you need to be smart and no when to apply it and when to sit back. The butcher is arguably our best cb and I won’t be turning on him because of one bad game

He's aggressive yes (sometime's too much!), but he does have good positional play and reads the game well. He's been out for a long time so needs time to settle again and have a consistent CB partner.

Gvardiol is such a great cb that city play him left back and the others have not even played 10 games in the prem so your just guessing. Also it’s easier to look good in a developed team at the top of the league we are still building and shouldn’t be looking at them teams.
