I really like that you like the 61 runner up. 68 - that song is pretty famous in the UK it lost by less than 5 points, there's a rumour the Spainish dicator bought votes to bring the contest to Spain - some people still aren't over it losing, 75 - weirdly they started off as Cliff Richards backing band, 72 - these guys sang that infamous ad song about buying the world a coke, 79 - my mum absolutely hates that song, 83 - one of them ended up as a choreographer for The Spice Girls, 92 - Ball is one of the most famous musical theatre stars in the UK - he was the original Marius in Les Mis, Frances Rufelle is the mum of pop star Eliza Doolittle, 98 - she struck a friendship with Edsilla Romney who was a host in Rotterdam, Romney named her daughter after Imanni. 06 - I haaate that song he's what they call in his neck of the woods a gobshite and a knobhead. I was quite academic and bullied by my peers for not being cool so I hated the anti intelligentalism of it. Well done for pronouncing Engelbert's name - it's a stage name he took from a Baraque Germany or Austrian composer. 2003 was when things started getting bad but the rot was setting in 2000 - I don't think Precious in 99 were too but Don't Play That Song Again was bad and our results Jessica Garlick aside not great.

Whooa, thanks for the lenghty comment and your thoughts. I have to say, the UK back then was the powerhouse and nowadays they are a joke even when they try. 2022 might be a beginning of the old 2nd place era, let's see 👀

I unironically like 2015. The vocals are terrible but it's fun and stupid??? They plateaued bad after like 1998. Most of their entries in the 2000s are just bland, generic, and lack creativity. I'm meh about Space Man but credit where its due when it comes to creativity and performance.

I'd put 2015 in light red last year but somehow I eneded up listening to it while doing stuff on some esc playlists and I accepted it 😅
