Pierre HM van de Kletersteeg Bro wtf “Islam” is one of the purest religions. You do realize that it won’t take over right? And if you are saying that it will kill It won’t. All Muslims aren’t “terrorizing” the ones that are is referred to as “jehads”. So basically it is just a religious belief nothing much just like how there is Christian’s and Jews. Even though it is different they all believe in the same thing “GOD” Do your research before you say something.

Climate change is a hoax. In history climate changed many times; vulcanic eruption, moving of magnetic north and south pole, meteorite from outer space. Then 5 million years ago the level of oxigen was importantly LOWER than now.The eco fascists are stupido's manytimes paid by Soros--who also paid Al Gore--10 million per year-to falsify repports.

@Facundo B I'm not attacking economic growth as a concept, of course the 2nd and 3rd world will need economic growth to increase their living standard. But the idea of eternal economic growth on a finite planet is what is dangerous. Every company, no matter how rich they already are want to earn even more in the next year. And for that they have to sell more, which means they have to produce more meaning they need more and more resources until the whole planet is completely exploited. Companys shouldn't be compulsed systematically to grow, then this planet might have a chance. A possible solution that I would propose although I'm not an expert, is abolishment of compound interests and implementation of full-reserved banking.

@@smittywerbenjaggermanjense672 Way back when (at least in the US) a 'corporation' could only be formed with permission from the local municipality and had to have a clearly defined goal or purpose which, once served, meant the corporation had to be dissolved or had to be given a new charter. Its charter could be pulled at any time by will of the people for violations. Corporations were not 'people' and they had no mandate to endlessly create profits. They were capitalism on a short leash, with their energy and motivation directed to serve the community, not solely the enrichment of their operators. I think it's time to revisit this idea.

One crisp winter morning in Sweden, a cute little girl named The Angry Beaver woke up to a perfect world, one where there were no petroleum products ruining the earth. She tossed aside her cotton sheet and wool blanket and stepped out onto a dirt floor covered with willow bark that had been pulverized with rocks. “What’s this?” she asked. “Pulverized willow bark,” replied her fairy godmother. “What happened to the carpet?” she asked. “The carpet was nylon, which is made from butadiene and hydrogen cyanide, both made from petroleum,” came the response. The Angry Beaver smiled, acknowledging that adjustments are necessary to save the planet, and moved to the sink to brush her teeth where instead of a toothbrush, she found a willow, mangled on one end to expose wood fibre bristles. “Your old toothbrush?” noted her godmother, “Also nylon.” “Where’s the water?” asked The Angry Beaver “Down the road in the canal,” replied her godmother, ‘Just make sure you avoid water with cholera in it” “Why’s there no running water?” The Angry Beaver asked, becoming a little peevish. “Well,” said her godmother, who happened to teach engineering at MIT, “Where do we begin?” There followed a long monologue about how sink valves need elastomer seats and how copper pipes contain copper, which has to be mined and how it’s impossible to make all-electric earth-moving equipment with no gear lubrication or tires and how ore has to be smelted to a make metal, and that’s tough to do with only electricity as a source of heat, and even if you use only electricity, the wires need insulation, which is petroleum-based, and though most of Sweden’s energy is produced in an environmentally friendly way because of hydro and nuclear, if you do a mass and energy balance around the whole system, you still need lots of petroleum products like lubricants and nylon and rubber for tires and asphalt for filling potholes and wax and iPhone plastic and elastic to hold your underwear up while operating a copper smelting furnace and . . . “What’s for breakfast?” interjected The Angry Beaver whose head was hurting. "Fresh, range-fed chicken eggs,” replied her godmother. “Raw.” “How so, raw?” inquired The Angry Beaver. “Well, . . .” And once again, Greta was told about the need for petroleum products like transformer oil and scores of petroleum products essential for producing metals for frying pans and in the end was educated about how you can’t have a petroleum-free world and then cook eggs. Unless you rip your front fence up and start a fire and carefully cook your egg in an orange peel like you do in Boy Scouts. Not that you can find oranges in Sweden anymore. “But I want poached eggs like my Aunt Tilda makes,” lamented The Angry Beaver. “Tilda died this morning,” the godmother explained. “Bacterial pneumonia.” “What?!” interjected The Angry Beaver.. “No one dies of bacterial pneumonia! We have penicillin.” “Not anymore,” explained godmother “The production of penicillin requires chemical extraction using isobutyl acetate, which, if you know your organic chemistry, is petroleum-based. Lots of people are dying, which is problematic because there’s not any easy way of disposing of the bodies since backhoes need hydraulic oil and crematoriums can’t really burn many bodies using as fuel Swedish fences and furniture, which are rapidly disappearing - being used on the black market for roasting eggs and staying warm.” This represents only a fraction of The Angry Beavers’s day, a day without microphones to exclaim into and a day without much food, and a day without carbon-fibre boats to sail in, but a day that will save the planet. Tune in tomorrow when The Angry Beaver needs a root canal and learns how Novocain is synthesized.

Well, several studies I've seen show China (27.2%) , US (14.6%), and India (6.8%) at one, two, and three in annual carbon emissions. Though the US population is much smaller than China's and India's, many people in the US enjoy a higher standard of living. We all drive cars, travel by air, and in general, consume a lot of everything, all of which leads to more carbon emissions. The average American contributes much more carbon emissions than the average Chinese person plus the average Indian combined. Both China and India are undertaking massive efforts to deal with their carbon emissions, while Americans have been largely propagandized (you are a good example) into denial by their own government.

Unlike the vast majority of the other nations in the world. (Look it up.) The point of the proposal is to redistribute the wealth of the US to the rest of the world. Which, if successful, would probably raise CO2 levels.
@computerworks1075

@@wzhartman True, China and India's carbon emissions are rising as they become more industrialized, but a large part of the increase is due to US corporations moving to China and India to save on labor and pollution control costs. So now they are polluting over there instead of here. What's really telling is how much carbon emissions the US has released into the atmosphere over time. Although I recycle as much as I can, I need to stop buying things in plastic packaging. I need to speak up when I buy poorly made appliances that break down after a single use. I need to vote for a strong leader that can bring about change and guide us through uncertainty. The worst guilt I feel is when I will get into my car and drive somewhere. NOTE: 'This is "all wrong"' because in the case of both thermodynamics theories below energy would in practice return to certain colder parts/points of the surface of the planet from air at certain positions/regions/locations/altitude where the air would be warmer in relation to the 'ground' not immediately/perpendicularly below [?]. Thel only reason that the rate of ground temperature rise due to the sun's radiation input would increase (other than an increase in the intensity of sunlight or the equivalent) would be that the 'cooling'/degree of temperature rise reducing effect on ground temperature of radiation emission from the ground would have been reversed/partially reversed prior to/at the same time as the sun's continued input of radiation into the ground due to, for example, the 'back-radiation' back down into the ground of radiation that had been emitted from the ground. However, in the time taken for CO2 molecules to 'back-radiate' ground radiation back downwards into the ground again the ground would simultaneously continue to radiate upwards into CO2 molecules at the same/at a faster rate. Therefore, the 'cooling effect'/'degree of temperature rise reduction effect' on the ground of escaped radiation absorbed by CO2 molecules would not be reversed as the CO2 'back-radiated' it back down into the ground again because the ground would be sending at least the same amount of radiation upwards at the same/at a faster rate, thereby 'cancelling out' any reversal of the effect on ground temperature caused by radiation being emitted from the ground. Therefore, the argument that CO2 increases the rate at which solar radiation raises ground temperature is omitting to take into account the above which means that radiation returned into the ground by CO2 is not, in effect, 'trapped' in the ground by CO2 (in the sense that its return to the ground is, in effect, as if it had not exited the ground surface) because whatever radiation is returned is at least equalled if not exceeded by the rate of radiation out of the ground (it having been pre-heated by the sun) occurring at the same time. Therefore, the rate of input of solar radiation is not increased, in effect, by CO2 'back-radiation' into the ground which is effectively 'cancelled out' by simultaneously continued radiation out of the ground and CO2 does not increase the rate and, therefore, the degree of ground temperature increase across a period of one day. However, 'it is wrong' to rule out increased warming only on the basis of the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics if you consider the 'wider picture' showing Infra-red radiation from the air directly above the planet surface below radiating 'diagonally', downwards and 'to the side' towards, for example, the ice in the far north, i.e., just because it's not possible, for example, for air containing CO2 molecules to increase the rate of warming of the planet surface directly below due to the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, i.e., unless, according to Piers Corbyn's explanation involving the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, the air containing CO2 molecules is hotter than the surface below, doesn't mean that this would prevent the CO2-warmed air warming the ice because the air would be warmer/'hotter' than the ice. Plus if the air were warmer because of CO2 molecules in the air this would slow down the rate of heat conduction out of the planet surface/s into the air which would also increase the rate of surface temperature increase caused by sunlight reaching the planet; however, this effect/'impact' may be very slight/marginal [!?]. Furthermore, the explanation from Piers Corbyn as to why CO2 molecules in the air cannot increase the rate of temperature increase in the planet surface perpendicularly below each CO2 molecule is also the reason why the 'alternative' to his explanation above could only 'logically' apply to a certain extent/degree, i.e., as long as the temperature of the air were not equal to the temperature of the ground/as long as the rate at which the ground transferred heat upwards were exceeded by the rate at which the air transferred heat into the ground/planet surface while the air were also cooler than the ground as would be the case if the more voluminous/numerous air molecules in relation to the less voluminous/numerous planet surface molecules were sufficiently abundant to have such an effect even without being as hot as the ground because, as Corbyn explains, otherwise the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics would be violated and, therefore, the above 'alternative' explanation to Corbyn's explanation apparently does not apply at all if it suggests that radiation could be absorbed by the ground from air without the air being hotter except if it were being applied to the scenario of, for example, equatorial air diagonally cross-heating colder, non-equatorial terrestrial/maritime surfaces whereas Corbyn's explanation suggests that the air would have to be hotter than the ground in order that radiation from the air could be absorbed by the ground without the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics being violated meaning Corbyn's logic alone, i.e., without the additional 'alternative explanation' above, apparently, does not rule out the possibility of an increased rate of planet surface warming in regions where the surface/s is/are cooler than the air irradiating it/them from a warmer region/location [?]. However, although they may have apparently never discussed the CO2 greenhouse effect in terms of/emphatically in terms of 'back-reflection' of terrestrial infra-red to the 'ground', if certain wavelengths/a percentage of certain wavelengths of terrestrial infra-red reaching CO2 in the air were 'back-reflected' to the 'ground' would this not 'rule in' what may be 'ruled out' by the above? However, if the 'non-absorbability' of a wavelength/s of infra-red meant it would have to be reflected by CO2 that did not absorb it would this not mean that incoming solar infra-red said to be non-absorbable by CO2 would also have to be reflected back up into outer space meaning increased CO2 in the air might have a global cooling effect? Also, if 100% of a particular wavelength/s of terrestrial infra-red would necessarily be absorbed by a CO2 molecule/s due to the 'dipole moment' of the CO2 molecule/s from interaction with terrestrial infra-red radiation, wouldn't this 'rule out' any possibility of 'back-reflection' to the 'ground' of that particular wavelength of terrestrial infra-red by CO2 in the air?
