I'm writing from the southernmost state of Brazil. Our biomes (Amazon, Pantanal, Atlantic Rainforest, Cerrado...) have been burning relentlessly for 2 months. Non-stop. Far right agribusiness denialists set our biodiversity on fire as a vendetta against the current presidential government and environmental institutions because they were doing their job. They got used to reigning at the fringe of law in the Bolsonaro and Salles government (2018-2022). The problem is we're living in a sort of agro-evangelical-fascist dictatorship here. They hold the power in Congress and Senate. Bolsonaro's militias got deep in the Amazon to illegally mine gold and gun trafficking. Rivers and indigenous communities are dying every single day. We should be chasing those who are killing us. Why those who profit from the destruction of planet are not afraid? They individualize profits and socialize damages. There's no more room and time for politely educate post-capitalist-technofeudal society.

The movie Don't Look Up, as shitty as it is, starts to make more sense when you watch these kinds of content. How many of us have much more interesting relevant important questions to ask? Questions like why is our global market and trade system incompatible with real tangible meaningful actions to mitigate Climate Change? If you want to draw more attention to the urgency of Climate Change, isn't the name Climate Destabilization more fitting than Climate Crisis or Climate Emergency, which just scare the living hell out of people because they describe the situation but don't define it? Shouldn't there be a global channel transmitting scientific information 24/7 translatted in most languages about the problems of Climate Change and what we need to do to halt Climate Change? Plato tells us that the prisoners are bound up unable to move their heads, let us examine this bondage via the psychology of Erich Fromm..socialisation of consciousness..aware-unaware. Plato tells us that the prisoners mistake shadows for substance, let us examine this mistake via the philosophy of Thales, Hume and Kant..synthetic a priori judgement..not thing in itself. Plato tells us that one of the prisoners is released, let us examine this release via the wisdom of T Lobsang Rampa..stilling the mind and conscious astral travel..leaving the cave/body. Plato tells us that the prisoners will reject this release, let us examine this rejection via the psychology of Stockholm Syndrome..Plato quotes Homer..forgive them for they know not what they say. Greta, time to hear what’s to be done. How will you move away from fossil fuels that currently supply 85% of global energy (Renewables 10%. The other 5% is nuclear.) Your renewables starting point is 7% hydro, 1% wind, 1% solar and 1% other. Also to consider is that energy consumption increases annually as the developing countries develop. Estimated increase above 2020 usage is 50% by 2050. I’m very keen to hear your engineered technological solutions, the detailed schedule and the year this will be achieved. Thanks. Can’t wait to hear the answers.

Forget schedules and deadlines, her point is that we must cease burning fossil fuels as soon as possible. Think of it this way: If a student is given homework to do over the weekend and is told that it's due on Monday, they may procrastinate and put it off until Sunday evening. If they can't finish it within what little time they would have left, their teacher will give them a failing grade. The sooner a student gets their homework done and over with, the better off they'll be. We are the student, our homework is apparently to keep the average global temperature below a certain amount by a certain year in the future.

I am using quotation marks here because how low can a grown up (wo)man go to step down on such a young person, especially as this hatred started when mrs. Thunberg was still a minor. I mean come on: If she says something, you folks are always b*tching. If she says too little, you are b*tching. You are b*tching for the sake of b*tching itself. Depending on who taught you English, you always end up with a bit of their accent. Scandinavia and Germany are usually of the UK school of thought, whereas Russians, for example, usually end up with an American twang. This young woman is admirable and has sent shockwaves around the world. The only thing I regret in this interview - and millionaire Livia Firth, however commendable her activism, is not in a position to school anyone - is how the critique of fast fashion and the awareness around it seemed to be aimed at individuals to be more informed and to stop buying fast fashion. In today’s economy, where some people have to choose between eating two times a day and paying their energy bills, buying a 200€ t-shirt is just not possible. Especially not for children. Especially not for single mothers. Fast fashion is a mega problem, but there is no structural alternative for those who rely most on fast-fashion for its price stamp.

hi greta have you read about the creation of the world when god created the would he it was just perfect but the problem was people stopped looking to god and started making up their own m0ind what to do so when god said dont eat of that tree they said it looks good why cant we eat it so they did, that lead to man saying i'll do it my way and controphersies began. so people stopped working togather that led to the beginning of wars and abusing the planet. this is far from the worst that we are doing but we must realize that unless we come back to a love of god we will end up loosing the world and end up in a place of hate and agony with no friends. the only way to avoid this is to ask him for his help to find a way back to the place how he made it

I wonder what global warming would be called if that's what caused the thrusters to break on the Boeing Star liner where the two astronauts are stranded because they are off the globe is global warming an issue on other planets I guess in the case of the astronauts it was just global warming that went outside the atmosphere or something like that I guess if people hope for them to come home safe is a good thing

Are the wef good to work for ? How are we going to feed people that are going hungry due to climate policies? How are you going to stop people freezing to death due to climate policies ? Many people are falling into poverty due to climate policies so how are we going to fix that ? The wef mention cutting world population by 80% and what do you think of that ? Will they create war to achieve this goal or a pandemic ?

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 how will people not die because of wet bulb temperatures? 'how will we feed the world because of climate policies?' GO VEGAN, vegan diet is more efficient than omnivore/ carnivorous diet.

Claims without reasoning/arguments are just claims. Like: "The earth is flat". Or: "This is such a sham". ;-)
@DetroitSoul2 жыл бұрын
@@RathwulvenBushcraft Okay, I'll turn that around on you. Greta herself does not give reasoning or arguments, or solutions to her climate crisis claims. All she does is try to make everyone afraid, so her nonsense makes sense. It's a delusion that we can stop the earth from heating up by getting rid of fossil fuels and going green. Try asking Greta a non-scripted question that's not on her note cards and she totally clams up. There was a panel discussion that she was a part of...and someone from the audience asked her, and only her, a specific question....she clammed up completely and tried to pass it off to anyone else on the panel. Sarthak is correct, this entire climate crisis thing that Greta seems very passionate about, is just another sham to make us all afraid.
@sammyp5782 жыл бұрын
@@RathwulvenBushcraft I like how you're trying to dirty this persons outlook by tacking on a baseless flat earth claim in order to discredit him. Kinda seems like a shitty thing to do
