Oof, that was certainly some close calls in this episode. That general in the Netherlands deserves some medals for miraculously surviving those battles, even being left to 1 man (himself). When you were chasing enemies down with him, I was still shocked he lived, the amount of times my general has died chasing down enemies at the end of the battle is beyond ridiculous

Yes it was hard fought battle. I hate when my gen dies just running down men. Seems like the only unit that takes losses doing it

The reason your Amsterdam force didn't reinforce is because you were intercepting - in Flanders instead of Netherlands. If you had waited for their attack, you would have had reinforcements and been fighting just the one Spanish force.

@@FaramirsRangers I managed to save my game that was CTD-ing last week. Forward to 1722 and I've taken Italy and swept the East Med., Black Sea, and Baltic Sea of enemy fleets. Now preparing to boost my income with Ivory trade and to dispatch my fleets to the India Ocean to throttle Maratha adventurism. A bit further off is tackling France in Europe and North America while they're tied up with Hanover (now in control of Netherlands and Flanders as well).

@@FaramirsRangers Thank you. I didn't really do anything specific to save the game, except give it one more go this afternoon. All I can think of that changed is that I rebooted (which I generally only do for a Windows update) sometime mid week. That's worth remembering.
