I remember when stationed in Germany during the late 70s, spending a week guarding the nuclear weapons site in Paderborn. The Americans always guarded the inner compound, the British troops guarded the outer compound. Close to where I was stationed was a massive ammo dump in Liebenau, that the Nazis kept camouflaged and out of sight for the whole of the war. The Americans guarded that place too. There was never any mention of nuclear weapons being there, but the fact that the Americans had a presence there suggest to me that there were nukes there.

The good old site guard weeks where you got to have some good self cooked grub in form of 10 man rations with fresh subsistence and ragging rovers around the site on stag, no seniors around to give any of the boys a hard time either. I did the same site but about 15 years later than you would have stagged on there. How the memories fade of good times.

Loved it . 2 things. - obstruction light on the tower is the red light on top warning for aircraft , the perceived sewage site towards the end is a oil separator, used to collect pollutants from the runway/ taxiways run offs when it rains etc or a fuel spill.

Watching ur videos reminds me as a kid exploring the Woolwich Arsenal which was on our doorstep. Ive seen the video you done there but it was nothing like it was in late 70's. Was an amazing place back then but unfortunately all gone now. 💣💣💥💥

That place is deadly I'd love to visit there. We have a active on the Curragh co.kildare in Ireland. Weapons storage signs saying no drones no phones or taking pics. There is a military museum in the curragh

Great explore guys 👍👍 Love a big military site explore, scouted out well, and some great highlight moments, 1.4G Hazard Division = low hazard and the explosive risk 'can' be contained within its packaging aka inside an H83 or H84 box, that said if stored with other class explosives the 'G' can change and could create a chain reaction etc.... Its generally best to store each hazard type and munition type separately to reduce the risk. A well executed explore Ian, Chris, Matt and co 👍👍 - enjoyed watching 👌

Have you seen the tunnels going in to the Forrest ?????… they denie it’s there lol I know different lol And the bunkers wats on sissor lifts , they tried to hide it with cement in the sides which has dropped out overtime , the bunkers near the watch tower, apparently I don’t know if this is true or not or it’s just a myth apparently there is a tunnel or tunnels going from REF Rendelsham connecting to Woodbridge but the main one is from Rendelsham to Orford testing ect … no that’s what I’ve heard years ago is it true or isn’t it true? Who knows?
