Even crazier is that No Retreat fails if you're already arena trapped... but ghosts are immune to arena trapping. Imagine something like (hisuian) tyPhloSioN with Simple running No Retreat and Power Trip.

​@@sirnoobsalot101, No Retreat has some weird interactions with other forms of the "Can't Escape" "status". Normally, the move can only be used once and then it fails from then on; if the user is afflicted with another form of "Can't Escape" (Arena Trap, Mean Look, etc.), No Retreat won't give the message a second time, but will grant the boosts upon usage (meaning that you can keep using the move and increasing your stats).

It's a decent way to guarantee a STAB move on anything with an R in the name, honestly. It may not be the *best* STAB, of course (as the typing becomes the primary type of the user...Giratina has Ghost-type Revelation Dance, for example, not Dragon), but it's still an option.

im still waiting this type of video Each player will build a team from scratch using a wheel system. You can fill it up to 10 areas and challengers are to build their team with pokemon from the area they land on. You must catch 6 pokemon, but may respin after catching at least one pokemon from said area. Shiny pokemon will act as a wild card and may be used to have any other pokemon of the players choosing on the team with any ability or you can keep shiny and give it any ability. meaning beacuse both players spins their own wheels, they also are in differend areas with differend pokemons so it could be fun

Idea. You do this again but you build a team with what you chose and what your opponent chose. So you play as normal in the first fight, but swap to the team you built with your opponent's picks on the second. So it's not purely who got the better luck, but who can make the better team.

I love this concept, why not do the same but in another langage. For exepmple in french and you have in front of you screen a "charizard", you choose him but without know his french name So after choose him youcheck and see his french name is "dracaufeu". And you can choose attack, item, and ability ONLY with french name of them to. For exemple : "leftovers" is "restes" in french For ditto, if you haveone on your screen and you don t wan t the 2 others, why not open boosters and choose between the 3 first pokemons of this booster

It would be more competitive and add more mechanics and strategy yes, but Showdown is also much worse in the presentation because it’s a whole different ball game looking at 2D sprites with little animation vs full on 3D in the games

Possible idea, use a number generator, each number corresponds to a previous video. Pick a random timestamp and you use that pokrmon. You take all of its attacks, stats, ability. Etc, even if it's a combination pokemon.
