The map being that annoying is a huge part of the fallout lore. Many places are legit too destroyed or irradiated to pass. And the river is extremely hard to pass which is the entire plot of fallout new Vegas, that's why there are so many battles over hoover dam

I lost my shit playing this mod when I had to 1v5 the Washington Brotherhood, Heaven’s gate, 80s, Ceaser’s legion and Co., and fucking Mexico. After 20ish save games, I managed to whittle it down to Mexico and Ceaser’s Legion but it was so fucking stressful with fighting 900 units compared to my 200 and naval invasion up the ass every 2 minutes that I quit because it wasn’t even fun any more.

I do recommend streaming you playing a fallout game. I also recommend you start with Fallout New Vegas or Fallout 3 if you want to avoid constant crashes. For Fallout New Vegas, you're gonna have to install many mods that fix New Vegas' crashing problem. If you want to wonder why, go blame Bethesda for rushing Obsidian studios to make the game under two years. Yea, shocker Bethesda is an scummy company I can tell you why, if you want the knowledge.
