Pretty cool, always wondered what the IS38 Alltracks make. I had the gen3 EA888 in my MK7 GTi and that was a really good motor. Never got to IS38 though, went B8.5 S4 instead and now B58 powered now. I would fully buy one of these for a daily/winter car 10/10 though. I love the look, very clean and 340awhp is extremely respectable, particularly in a wagon! I love fast wagons.

@VancityAudi2 жыл бұрын
@@ORBrit there is no possible way you are just losing some timing close to redline. From what I've seen from the logs from this car you would be seeing MASSIVE timing reduction through the entire pull if you were using straight 92 octane pump gas on a 93 octane tune. And no I'm not being funny. I've seen multiple cars melt their plugs and cook their engine over a handful of times from people like you, thinking it would be okay to run tunes meant for higher octane fuels and running a lower octane fuel. You think it is running "fine". It isn't.

I just rewatched this and noticed the bit about the "Dynojet" calibrated numbers. Mustang dyno readings can be manipulated with the dyno settings- "hp at 50 mph" etc. Dynojet numbers cannot be manipulated. I have a friend with a Dynojet at his house that I've used for years and it makes nearly identical numbers to local Mustang dynos. With nearly the same bolt-ons, same turbo same tune and same gas but on the 2.0 engine in my GTI I doubt I would see 333 whp on the Dynojet I use. 330 on the 93 file with E20, maybe...
@VancityAudi Жыл бұрын
The reason why the shop manipulates the numbers is so they can display numbers comparable to a Dynojet. Seeing as most people want a Dynojet reading and not a Mustang reading because Mustang numbers are so much lower and people get butt hurt, lol. When I used to show Mustang numbers on this channel all the ignorant viewers would make comments about the vehicles making such lower power figures, not understanding at all that dyno numbers vary from dyno to dyno and that the true test of power is 1/4 mile ET's, trap speeds, 100-200km/h or 60-130mph testing.

Sucks for people who live at elevation, in warm climates with no E anywhere near. Seems like everyone who mods the MQB platform is on Ethanol. I'm trying to find out how my GTI will perform at various stages on shit 91 octane gas, in warm dry air at elevations between 1,500 and 7,000 ft. Thankfully Unitronic sets these cars up well for lower octane and especially high elevation by keeping the boost targets low so there is a ton of head room. When my MK7 was just stage 1, I drove from 1,500 ft to 5,800 ft elevation and it didn't lose any power that you could feel, and the boost was exactly the same. Even on my Dragy it only lost 2 mph in the 1/4 lol. I drove from there to 7,500 ft elevation and it finally lost 1 psi but still felt just as strong. I am now stage 2 with IC and DP and the boost didn't change at all yet it picked up 3 mph on the Dragy. I'm about to go stage 2+ as I'm still not hitting 110 mph in the 1/4 which was my goal. Again, it's hard to see those numbers on shitty 91 octane gas at elevation. I have no complaints about the way the car drives with Unitronic.

Hey friend! Are you in CO? Beautiful state, weak sauce gas! I have empathy for my fellow enthusiasts stuck without 93 or E85. Altitude makes the turbo cars work much harder to compensate for the lack of oxygen. Are you on the stock IS20, or IS38? The latter with a good tune will get you to your goals, even in the mountain air. 🏔 💪 🇩🇪

@@VancityAudi unitronic advertises 354 crank HP and 325 crank Torque, I’m guessing WHP wise that would be 300 WHP and 270-280 pound feet on 93 octane pump gas. Still pretty crazy how simply doing an E30 mix can bump it up to 338 WHP and 328 WTQ

@arsenyrazhkov4559 dynos do not all read the same. There are a million and one variables that change the output of dyno readings. Why wasn’t this car running in dyno mode? Should be Fwd only…
@VancityAudi2 жыл бұрын
You can dyno test these cars however you like. You don't HAVE to run it in FWD only to perform dyno tests. This dyno has much better airflow when facing the way it is. If we ran it in FWD, we'd have to face the car the other direction on this particular dyno. As soon as you do that you lose the usage of their powerful fan. Airflow is key when dyno testing any car.
