Very good tutorial, and thank you very much for sharing it. Some changes to avoid calculating the position Color32[] pixel = textureToGenerateFrom.GetPixels32(); Width = textureToGenerateFrom.width; Height = textureToGenerateFrom.height; for(int x = 0; x < Width; x++) { for(int y = 0; y < Height; y++) { var pixel = textureToGenerateFrom.GetPixel(x,y); } }

if you want to avoid something like at 20:00: 1. separate your tilemap to layers and export them (*.pngs or *.psd for each blocks, coins, doors, creatures etc.). do not forget to use unique colors. 2. import your layers to unity like this: Resources/Rooms/your_room_name (you can have as many rooms as you want with unlimited layers. or you can change a tile sets for each different room) 3. add String[] variable and insert in the inspector your room name (or names). also, you can add a checkbox to enable/disable random room selection. 4. select a room from a String[] and load all its layers from a folder to an array. 5. loop through each layer and draw the correct tiles. why do you need to separate layers? well, maybe you need to draw a background tiles behind the coins/objects/creatures/doors/etc or something like that. you cant do it with just one layer image. i am not good at explaining but i hope you get the point, with some more coding you can extend it to a very powerful tool. but remember, if you have a huge amount of sprites as a separate GameObject - this is a bad practice and will lead to unity freezes or even worse.
