I played the hell out of TXR0. I can't fathom why Genki won't make a modern rendition. They could include the entire highway map from Zero, and the courses from the Drift games, 300 cars with 10,000 different aero parts and wheels and still the game size wouldn't be as large as most modern games. Until then, I'm playing TXR0 on PCSX2 upscaled in 4k with a shader, AA, AF, etc. It's pretty good once you get it running right.

Not only does this game cement the love and affection put into proper time attack A to B games, but also the small graphical effects such as the old halogen dissipation of the brake lights is absolutely stunning. it takes really about some months to make a game like this but the real thing is that it takes years to learn how to model these cars ,and also to code it . like if u learn how to model to a perfection level ,thats really 2-5 years ,and to code thats also 2-3 years ,and these are depending on what software u use .

@@septanos These models aren't that complicated except the car (which can be downloaded from the internet) so I would say probably max 1 month to make all the models. This depends on if he made the road with 3d modeling software or made some system which can create it for you which is clearly the better way. If he made everything by hand it's probably something like 5 months, probably less. You can find car game tutorials from youtube and if you follow trough them and understand everything then you have good base to customize to your game's style . Probably the fine tuning and how the car rides, took the most time to make good. Learning to code in unity doesn't take 2-3 years, being good at coding in unity might. Same goes for the 3d modeling.

Wow. Initial D with less arcade-ish element to it. I love it. Awesome job. I love the original arcade one. But this one, i love how each corner takes more than a second to turn. Like both. This should be released for real

クオリティが高いせいで木々の影が落ちてなかったり、奥のガードレールがチラつくような細かいところが気になりだしてしまった… PCが耐えられるのでしたらRenderTextureに表示サイズの1.5倍から2倍あたりで描画して、描画したRenderTextureをRawImageで画面に描画してみてはいかがでしょう。細かい部分の映り具合が結構変わると思いますが 影に関してはコース見辛くなっちゃうし仕方ないのかな…?

改めてみるとちょこちょこっと道路に影落ちてるし、擁壁などにも落ちてるみたいだからライトがほとんど垂直なのかな?

ディレクショナルライトは若干角度は付けてますが、ほとんど真上からですね。 なので路面に落ちる影が少なめに見えるのかもしれません。 RenderTextureを使った画面描画は知らなかった！今度試してみようと思います！

Inertia is a tendency for an object to do nothing or remain unchanged. In physics, it is a property of matter by which it continues in it's existing state of rest or uniform motion in a straight line unless said state is changed by an external force In drifting, an inertia drift is when the driver utilises inertia itself to start a drift (Not sure if this is a correct explanation of inertia drift, please do correct me if I'm wrong)

@@frosty5122 you're correct. And that time stamp is actually a correct example. The car shifts weight naturally as he counter steers out of the first drift, the center of gravity moves from one side of the car to the other. In that moment, without any correction, the car will tend to drift in the new direction initiated by the steering correction. 👍
