Exciting news! Letting devs know about it now - what a tease!! :P Looks like maybe the news is helping out the U stock though which.... I'm personally also happy about, haha. This video is the best explanation of the tech to come I've seen so far - it's nice to see an overview geared towards creators rather than investors, so I appreciate the work you've done making this content :)

@@ChristopherFrancis3D now i don't know if i should learn UE or this...I'm such a HUGE fan of weta and ziva dynamics..these tools look like Unity can be used for both game dev AND film making VFX.

If you have a company sponsor or you get more serious with your own investment, Unity's on-demand training is very good for $600/year unity.com/products/on-demand-training

These tools lok awesome! I do hope they will come at a price that's affordable for indie developers as well! I'm not sure yet if I'd use it in my project, cause my intent is to build the game in a way that also people who's computer isn't high-end can play the game. But knowing these tools will be in the future of Unity, is certainly good to know!

These are very sophisticated tools, but they more like 3D softwares, not a realtime render engine right?

I would speculate they will either be packages in the Unity editor or stand alone products that the output files can be imported into the editor.

@@ironknightzero Hi, interesting that you bring up cloud. Either a package or cloud are possible outcomes yet to be known at this point. What I can say is that the upcoming Digital Twin platform releasing next year will use cloud delivery for certain tools which could makes it possible for Weta tools to be delivered this way.
